  1. Minnesota Twins prospect Austin Martin is expected to be added to the 40-man roster early next week, which will put him in a great place to potentially make his Major League debut at some point in 2024. Once ranked the No. 22 prospect in all of baseball by MLB Pipeline, they've soured so much on his stock that he's only their No. 20 prospect just in the Twins system. Here is some video of Martin from his time in St. Paul this season and a discussion on why I still like his game. He's my No. 4 Twins prospect, behind only Walker Jenkins, Brooks Lee and Emmanuel Rodriguez.

  3. The Minnesota Twins are reducing their payroll in 2024, but with several contracts coming off the books this offseason, they still have some room to make additions this offseason. Here's a breakdown of what the budget looks like based off the reported payroll target.

  5. Derek Falvey discussed the Twins 2024 payroll expectations with reports at the GM meetings in Arizona. He didn't paint a pretty picture, and Dan Hayes of The Athletic reported that team sources suggested it could be in the $125 million to $140 million range. Here are my thoughts on that.

  7. Here's a roundup of a bunch of Minnesota Twins news items and topics, starting with Kala'i Rosario's performance in the Arizona Fall League. Also discussed is the Twins being shut out of the Silver Slugger nominations, how the Twins fared against the LCS teams this year, an interesting look into minor league statcast data by Baseball America and which of MLB's top-25 free agents they see as potential targets for the Twins. 9. We're officially in the MLB offseason (congrats Rangers, btw). Here is a discussion on the current state of the Minnesota Twins 40-man roster and some decisions facing the front office. It's a good situation to be in, but it appears the Twins are in a bit of a roster crunch.

  11. Longtime Minnesota Twins broadcaster Dick Bremer has announced his retirement. The TV voice of the Twins for 40 years, Bremer established himself as part of the Twins identity over the years. Here's a left-handed toast to Mr. Bremer on an outstanding career and my reaction to the news.

  15. Here’s an overview of some of the early offseason timeline and some important decisions facing the Twins over the next month or so. Among the topics discussed are a Sonny Gray qualifying offer, the team options on Max Kepler and Jorge Polanco, Kyle Farmer’s projected arbitration salary and prospects who need to be protected from the Rule 5 Draft.

  19. Here's an overview of my initial reactions to the Minnesota Twins losing Game 4 of the ALDS to the Astros and being eliminated. It was disappointing to see the Twins fail to take advantage of a couple of good matchups at home. The umpiring was bad but the lineup was a let down. Tough way to end what was a fun season. 21. Jorge Polanco had a rough couple games at third base against the Blue Jays, should the Minnesota Twins turn elsewhere as they prepare for the Astros? Here's a look back at Polo's plays and some discussion on the alternate options.

  23. Here are some of the sights and sounds of Target Field from Oct. 4, 2023. The Minnesota Twins beat the Toronto Blue Jays 2-0 to advance to the ALDS. It was a great crowd once again in Game 2, and I spent the game wandering around the stadium and collecting clips to share. Both the video and audio are pretty raw, it was all just shot on an iPhone SE, so not professional gear by any means. I don’t think this fully captures the sound/atmosphere, but I wanted to do my best to bring those of you who were not able to attend closer to the ballpark. View full video
