Congrats to Wade on the call up. If, IF Rosario is truly day to day and not requiring a IL trip, I could see them sending down Astudillo or Arraez instead of a pitcher like Littell. One of them, or Cave would probably go back down when Buxton returns anyway.
I mean his season FIP is over 12 runs lower than his season ERA of over 22. All kidding aside, minor league deal flyer would be worth it. Just as Cody Allen might.
Win some, lose some. Go get 'em today. Never like bunting with the Twins best hitter, even if the situation may have called for it. Thought Parker looked better than he had recently. Still not all that good, but better. That said, kinda want to start seeing Harper and Parker switch roles.
The Twins have a .671 winning percentage currently, they went 70-32 the last 102 games in 2006 for a winning percentage of .686. Roughly the same pace, albeit a smaller sample size. So about every 13 years or so.
And now that song is stuck in my head. That aside, I think at least 2 arms are needed to shore up the bullpen, 1 to team with Rogers in the 8th-9th, the other to move the likes of May, Parker, and Harper to lower leverage situations.
Bullpen as it stands is mediocre as a whole, worse with Rogers on the shelf. But dang no bullpen can overcome 5 errors in 3 innings. That Buxton homer was awesome though
A couple of those walks were unintentional, intentional walks to Encarnacion to get to Vogelbach. Perez didn't look great, but he certainly looked better than he did in his previous 2 starts. Edit: Whoops, echo chamber in here with the post above me.
Hey now, Texas is 5 games over .500 too. So 7 games. Of course, that doesn't make a person feel much better. By contrast, in that same amount of time the Twins have 13 games vs teams over .500 in the next 35 games
