  1. I wanted the Twins to keep him as a starter for one more year to see if they could get something out of him that the Rays couldn’t. So far, so good. I hope he keeps it up.
  2. St Paul rotation. He needs to get his walks down further. If he does, I’ll jump on his bandwagon.
  3. For some reason I have faith that he will be decent. Don’t ask me why.
  4. I’m on the fence about Bradley. I definitely lean BP, but since he’s barely been on the team, I’d like to see if the Twins can tweak anything to improve him. If they can’t figure it out in one season, which is probably unfair, I’d definitely be for moving him to the BP permanently.
  5. Under. I’m thinking 68 as of this moment
  6. Charley Walters: Look for Minneapolis-based Varde Partners, a worldwide multi-billion dollar credit investment corporation, to be announced soon as a limited partner with the Minnesota Twins. The firm is one of at least two limited partners expected to assist in diminishing the team’s reported $500 million debt. Link I guess we’ll find out soon if this is accurate
  7. This probably explains why I couldn’t log in with what I knew my password was.
  8. I like Torii, but I just don’t see it. I prefer someone else’s idea of going after Rickie Weeks Jr, though I’m guessing he’s probably going to be a hot target.
  9. The rumors are that the Angels are looking at Pujols and that they’ve talked contract.
  10. It was announced the Rays were sold in July and it didn’t get approved until yesterday. I think it just takes awhile
  11. Okert was not good, agreed, but I didn’t even think they could get $5 for Gordon and they technically got more than that. So my point was, if they could get something for Gordon they should easily be able to get something for Larnach who is a way better player.
  12. I know the arb numbers aren’t the same, but if the Twins can get a living, breathing human for Nick Gordon than I believe they absolutely can get one for Larnach who is at least two times the player Gordon is/was.
  13. Just a slight correction to this, but Ryan was never “told” he was traded. He either saw the incorrect report on Twitter or on tv when he was sitting with Jax. Jon Morosi said something like “the Red Sox are making a late push for Ryan.” Nearly immediately, like within one minute of Morosi saying that, Fox Sports MLB said “Ryan to the Red Sox per Morosi.” Morosi never said anything close to that. Whoever runs, or hopefully ran (in the past tense) can’t read which caused all the confusion involving Ryan. It never should have happened.
  14. My opinion is that Matthews has a better chance to be the next Ryan. Both were control over stuff. Matthews has a bigger HR problem which could be fixed. Ryan improved his HR problem this year. Abel is stuff over control. Those SP fail at a very high rate. He would have to improve his control A LOT before he could ever become Ryan. That would pretty much be an impossible ask, because he’d have to improve it another four percent points, in my opinion. I’m glad he’s dropped it down lower this year and I hope he keeps it up. I just don’t see him becoming Ryan but I will be happy if he proves me very wrong.
  15. I’d put SWR and/or Festa in the pen way before I would Matthews. The rest I believe are future relievers, but I’m okay with giving Prielipp one more year
  16. I trust him to sell more much more than I trust him to buy (trade deadline). I’m always fine trading relievers for a haul, but as always it depends on the return. I’m firmly against trading Ryan.
  17. The only reliever I’ve ever been attached to was Nathan so I’m pretty much always okay with getting a haul for relievers. That being said, based on this list I definitely wouldn’t do a trade for any of these players. Yesavage was the only name I paused on but his BB% is too high for me. Based only on his stats it seems like he may have great stuff but poor control. Those types of players seem to fail 99% of the time. I think it may be too soon to trade Duran, but either way, if they do…I hope it’s not to the Jays
  18. They’re still working on that stuff. They said details will be released later. If it happens like other teams who had this situation, we might not know until right before opening day
  19. It’s a caretaker exclusive article. If you want the full article you have to subscribe (pay for it)
  20. The last time I was this “meh” about a Twins draft was 2020. Hopefully this turns out better than it looks and better than 2020…
  21. It doesn’t bother me that he’s another SS. He’s not the guy I wanted, but the guy I wanted was already gone. With who was available, I was hoping they’d go with Caminiti. I wish KC luck and hope he ends up great
  22. Mets took the hitter I wanted, which wasn’t surprising
  23. This mock of Benge and Sanford is exactly what I want to happen. I hope it does, but feels unlikely
