  1. But Hicks did in fact come out of the game and the Rock Cats did have Bruce Pugh bat in Hicks' spot
  2. So Watts comes in to pitch but gets inserted into the leadoff spot. It never got to him in the batting order because Bruc Pugh came in to pitch th 12th. Pugh did end up batting in Hicks' spot and bunt popped out. Hicks made an out in CF right before the pitching change. Did he get hurt on that play?
  3. Here is play by play from 10th inning... Defensive switch from shortstop to second base for James Beresford. Defensive Substitution: Estarlin De Los Santos replaces Daniel Rohlfing, batting 9th, playing shortstop. Jeremy Hazelbaker flies out to center fielder Aaron Hicks. Pitching Change: Dakota Watts replaces Dakota Watts, batting 1st. Defensive switch from left field to center field for Rene Tosoni. Defensive Substitution: Nathan Hanson remains in the game as the second baseman, batting 7th. Defensive switch from second base to shortstop for James Beresford. Defensive switch from shortstop to left field for Estarlin De Los Santos. Marquez Smith doubles (21) on a line drive to left fielder Estarlin De Los Santos. Bryce Brentz strikes out swinging. Travis Shaw flies out to center fielder Rene Tosoni
  4. Promotion going on at the coliseum...every fan gets a game used ball from tonights game
  5. This outcome was predictable, but with his upside this was still not a bad pick by the Nats. If he does need TJ sugery, he'll get it soon and be ready to pitch a little by late next season. Pitch in the AFL next fall and be on the minor league track by 2014.
  6. No, its just that it is not free material so copy/pasting the article is not allowed. It is a respect issue I guess. Even a legal issue for that matter. I posted an article by KLAW a while back and Bonnes got mad:angry: and deleted it. He was right to do it...
  7. Surprisingly, He hasn't submitted anything yet. I don't know if/when he plans to.
  8. 15 strike outs for the Etown staff:fenforcer: Pretty impressive that Vargas has hit his 10th HR before reaching 100 AB's
  9. Berrios and Gibson are the only 2 on that list that have a chance to be above average big league pitchers. Hendriks could be average at best. The other two...meh.
  10. Apparently, nobody told Berrios that the Appy league is supposed to be a hitters league?
  11. You have got to be kidding me with this! I wasn't comparing him to your average Joe. I was comparing him to other MAJOR LEAGUERS. This should go without saying. Next time I form a negetive opinion about a baseball player, maybe I should finish it with..."oh but he's way better than me". Would that make you happy? Give me a break!
  12. I don't...he's just not that good.
  13. Nobody should have a problem with this thinking. If we really NEED these players, then yes, we call them up and the minor league teams/fans will understand. But we don't need them so why not let them stay down and help thier team's playoff push.
  14. I just read his chat trascript from today. His very last comment was... So sometime tomorrow night or more likely Saturday morning he should have an insider post written about what he watched.
  15. Arcia needs to be pretty close to the top 25. He is still a bit of a sucker for breaking balls in the dirt, but that has been his only weekness so far. He has been the most productive hitting prospect this year unless you want to count Parmelee.
  16. It must be worth it I guess. All these companies have people smarter than us who crunch all the numbers and do all these studies to determine a fair price for major stadium naming rights.
  17. Welcome to the board and nice top 10. I have a hard time making top 10 lists. There's certainly a lot of 2nd guessing. Even the top 5 is tough at this point. I would say Sano, Hicks, Buxton, Arcia and Rosario are the top 5, but the actually order of those 5 is the hard part.
  18. If any post deserves being taken down and poster being banned (which I don't support BTW), this seems to reach that threshold. Got any support for these claims on passive racisim? Do you study Critical Race Theory or are you just throwing stuff out there? I don't know but I bet he's in the other 10%
  19. I heard a little of the interview with Terry Ryan on the 1500 pregame show. When asked about Rochester, he said the relationship is good and he hopes they will stay partners. When asked about Beloit, he was a lot less confident. He said a lot of details such as facilities and what not have to be worked out.
  20. Youtube, they have it in 10 parts.
  21. He hasn't produced at all really since he was drafted 2 years ago in the 24th round. You think the Twins will just release him Seth?
  22. David McCarty, if not one of the worst Twins was certainly one of the most disappointing considering his draft position and how well he hit in the minors.
  23. Anybody that has a legit future in the bigs should be striking out at least 1 batter/inning in the minors. The pitching situation continues to be dire.
  24. I tend to agree with this. Even non strike out pitchers in the major leagues had at around 1 K/inning in the minors. I just don't see Hermsen being a quality starter in the bigs despite his solid numbers. Of course I'm always eager to be proven wrong in cases like this.
  25. He needs to be put on the 40 man roster spot for starters. This was a big reason I hated the Liriano trade, 2 more sub-par players taking up 40 man roster spots.
