    Likes Jeffers from the day they drafted him. Been watching him in person since his days in Cedar Rapids and the kid just keeps working and getting better. The Twins need to extend him ASAP.

    Just guessing here, but Tanner Schobel is probably the first position player by Twins Daily to be named Pitcher of the Day?

    Way to hit the cut off man Saints and get the runner at third. Good fundamental baseball and it drives me crazy when it doesn't happen in the pros.

    Ahhhhh...so good to see TD's minor league reports back, the best in the business. Always fun to hear in detail about these kids who are going to be knocking on the door to the majors real soon.

    Nice write up Nate, hopefully a change of philosophy for the better. One quick note, the link to the outfielder prospects should include Gabriel Gonazalez https://www.milb.com/player/gabriel-gonzalez-694224, instead of Carlos Gonzalez. The kid really surprised me last season compared to his first in the Twins organization and I wish him the best of luck this season. He could be knocking on the door to Target Field too this season.

    Five decades for me and ditto with the apathy. Season ticket holden since 2010 who did not renew this year, Right now not a lot of faith or trust with the organization. 70 wins will be a challenge this year.

    Nice article Cody, but Minor League Player of the Year for Marek Houston? As much as he thrived at the plate in Fort Myers in Low A ball, he struggled in Cedar Rapids at High A (albeit in small sample sizes.) I saw him play in Iowa last season, and Marek "Houston, we have a problem" when it came to hitting. The glove is legit, but the days of having a Mark Belanger full time in your line-up are a thing of the past. I hope the bat comes along for Marek Houston, but right now that's a huge "if."

    The sustained Walker Jenkins hype has never been backed up by sustained performance on the field. This may be a nominee for KFAN's most preposterous statement of the year. I just don't see this happening, as much as I would love to be wrong about it.

    An extension is a very interesting point of view that was not on my radar. I like the out of the box thinking, although this year could be (more) brutal and tough to watch without him.

    Not one mention of Kyle Debarge winning a gold glove last year in Cedar Rapids? Come on Twins Daily, he's one of the best defenders in the entire organization. Y'all dropped the ball on that one.

    Nice article, I would strongly disagree that Marek Houston will make his MLB debut in 2026 after seeing him play in Cedar Rapids last season. His bat is not close to being ready, yet, he struggled mightily in High A. I think AAA by the end of the year could even be a stretch.

    As a lifelong Minnesota Twins fan, my level of fandom has taken a hit. For the first time in decades I am not a Twins season ticket holder. The cost for my cheapest seats in the ballpark has more than doubled since 2010 and the perks season ticket holders used to receive has diminished. I'm not even wearing my Minnesota Twins jackets or hats this winter, I bought a new coat and just have no desire to wear the team gear right now. I'm still checking out Twins Daily,...well daily,,,and following their news and moves, but something just feels different this off season. Tom Pohlad has a lot of work to do.

    If I'm reading the tea leaves correctly, drafting Susac and immediately trading him means that the Twins are putting their chips in on Ryan Jeffers as their starting catcher and will sign him to an extension.

    Three years for $36 million (or 3/$30 as some are mentioning) would keep Jeffers in the fold until Tait is (or isn't) ready. Really depends on what route the owners will take: complete rebuild or lots of tweaks with the current roster.

    Overall an underwhelming bunch for the Minnesota Twins this fall. Good to see Miguelangel Boadas putting some good innings together though.

    Saw him play a couple of times last year and he seems to be a good kid who plays the game the right way...lots of hustle. DeBarge's 66 stolen bases were the most in Minnesota Twins franchise history since Chuck Knoblauch swiped 62 in 1997. You'd have to go all the way back to the 1913 Washington Senators to find a player in the franchise's ranks with more steals in a single season, Clyde Milan with 75 in 1913. Congrats on the gold glove Kyle!

    Shelton is not a hire that moved my needle positively-wise. I'll go to my dozen or so games next year, although not as a season ticket holder for the first time in over twenty years. The direction the team has been going since beating Toronto in that playoff series is bewildering.

    The Shelton move does nothing to inspire me as a former season ticket holder to reup, or even go to more games. Time will tell, but his track record doesn't get my Spidey senses tingling.

    Correa was expected to be an aquisition that really moved the needle and the Minnesota Twins to the next level, a big difference maker. He didn't. While having moments or short periods of that brilliance (and one playoff series win), he widely underachieved during his tenure with the team.

    Marek Houston struggled mightily at the plate in High-A Cedar Rapids, his offensive game has quite a ways to go. Lee looks okay for the time being and hopefully Culpepper will push him and may the best shortstop win.

    A 20 game season ticket holder since 2010, I'm out next year. My cost, even for the cheapest seats, has more than doubled since 2010 and the little perks like free TwinFest tickets and such are never coming back.

    Gabriel Gonzalez has been one of the most pleasant surprises for me out of any of the recent prospects in the Minnesota Twins minor league system. After watching him play several games down in Cedar Rapids in 2024 and coming away really not impressed (we now know injuries played a part), what he did in 2025 was outstanding, and he's only 21.. The list is impressive.
