    Um, I think, after reading this entire thread, that the 'general tenor' thinks this was a good move. Yes, there are a few who didn't like this move, but the majority have weighed in positively, so I think your characterization is a bit off. As for me, I'm equally satisfied and think this was a good move.

    Ooou ... thanks! I'm going to do just that! hehehe ... and I have another colleague, with another orchestra, who is a Liverpool supporter; if he doesn't know that, I'll certainly tip him off as the two of them certainly try to give each other digs!

    My colleague at work is a big Manchester fan. He refuses to acknowledge anyone in conversation who refers to football as soccer. And further, insists you say 'American football' for any NFL talk and always pretends to not understand the conversation until that clarification is made. Anyway ... that's about the extent of my soccer/football interest, other than my niece making the freshman team at school. I could be converted, though. Maybe.

    It seems to come and go. Over all it is waaaay better than before Brock did some tweaking.

    Good for Justin! I wish him all the best. I always hate seeing long-timers go, but such is the business and I hope he finds success again.

    Hey ... I'm as musically snobby as they come and I like/d the Carpenters. (Disclaimer: just because I proclaim myself as snobby as they come still doesn't mean I think my opinion is God.) I would LOVE to have had Karen Carpenter's voice ... probably woulda used it differently, but she had a gorgeous voice. And her brother was a master orchestrator. And here comes that shudder again when I same his name ... Micheal Bolton ... yish! Lately, the one getting all kinds of airplay that I just don't understand ... Bruno Mars. I guess his voice quality is okay, but ugh. Do. Not. Like.

    I'm still very much in the 'wait and see' camp as there certainly needs to be another good piece or two, but this makes me hopeful. As I'm currently in Ft. Myers, and will be again off and on over the next few months, I'm already chomping at the bit for ST.

    People are free to say 'It's too early' as you are free to say 'TR hasn't done anything yet.' While I understand the frustrations, and past history of how things have worked, IMO it is too early to have all this angst. And as long as you are going to go out there and be publicly angst-ridden, I, and others, will go out there publicly and say 'It's too early.' It's called discussion of different points of view. When you start a thread, this is what you will get.

    Mod note: Can we maybe temper some of this over-the-top rhetoric and hyperbole that I am seeing thread to thread? While I do understand the history we have with signings, and have my own skeptical opinions, let's just keep it in check until the off-season unfolds a bit more and we have some real facts and actualities to complain about. These type of comments only inflame and do nothing to add to the discussions at hand. Thanks.
