  1. Yeah ... I was like 'Wait ... do I have the right game?' 'Oh yeah ...' I like them, though.
  2. Yeah. Glad I am unable to listen.
  3. There is also a 'B' game this morning, also up in Bradenton, but this is for the regular Grapefruit League game. Correia is pitching in the 'B' game (followed by Meyer and Pino). Twins: Presley, CF Dozier, 2B Mauer, 1B Willingham, DH Plouffe, 3B Ramirez, RF Mastroianni, LF Suzuki, C Bartlett, SS Worley, SP (then Gibson, Gilmartin, Hoffman, Johnson and Pressly) Pirates: Marte, LF Martin, C McCutchen, CF Alvarez, 3B Walker, 2B Snider, DH Mercer, SS Lambo, 1B Decker, RF Rodriguez, SP I'd say 'And let the chatter begin' except it's just way too early for that; at least for me. If there are any tweaks to either team's lineups, I'll edit closer to game time.
  4. What you want is an Avatar. So go to 'Settings,' then click 'Edit Avatar' and upload the photo there. That is the one that is seen on your posts.
  5. Used for lack of a better one ...
  6. I remember sitting in the rain last year waiting for the call before the game started; it came after we decided we'd had enough and left. It was pretty weird, though, as the gift shop pulled out boxes of rain ponchos to sell. They were white. And when you looked across the stadium with people wearing these, with pointy white hoods, yeah, looked really eerie.
  7. Sure you're special! I didn't get the iPhone message in my box!

  8. My parents and I sat for a while last year, in the rain (we came prepared), before they called it. Might be a while ...
  9. Since the game is in rain delay, I'll get this posted and it won't count as being late! Hopefully it won't be called, but here it is anyway ... Cards: Carpenter, 3B Wong, 2B Butler, DH Adams, 1B Robinson, CF Grichuk, LF Piscotty, RF Cruz, C Kozma, SS Wainwright, SP Twins: Buxton, CF Dozier, 2B Mauer, DH Ramirez, RF Plouffe, 3B Kubel, LF Parmelee, 1B Pinto, C Escobar, SS Nolasco, SP Now, go forth and chatter!
  10. Well, he IS King of the Congo, but I'm handling his finances so kindly send that money to me.
  11. Glad I went to my exercise class. Staying home to watch the game would have been torture by comparison.
  12. Orioles now have bases loaded, 1 out.
  13. Chief should've put that as one of his over/under tie-breakers!
  14. I'm gonna have to leave mid-game ... have an exercise class tonight.
  15. The game will be replayed at 11pm tonight (CST) on the MLB Network, if you get that channel.
  16. I just got home from work and am trying to catch up ... bottom of the 2nd and our 2nd run just scored. Yay!
  17. Orioles: Berry, CF Weeks, 2B Paul, RF Pearce, 1B Monell, C Reimold, DH Flaherty, 3B Gonzalez, SS Borbon, LF Tillman, SP Twins: Presley, CF Bartlett, SS Mauer, 1B Willingham, LF Kubel, DH Plouffe, 3B Parmelee, RF Suzuki, C Beresford, 2B Pelfrey, SP Sorry for the late post for anyone wishing to comment online during the game. Since I'm not Brian, no humourous musings. I only hope that I spelled everyone's name correctly!
  18. I didn't remember him being quite that ... thick ... guess he was. Is he still playing somewhere?
  19. Thanks again for your expertise and insight into this.
  20. We've heard much from Joe Mauer of his transition, but I was curious is it was at all 'weird' for the other catchers to not have him in the group this year? Have any of them still sought him out at all to ask him 'catching stuff' or, for the sake of the transition, just giving him his space?
  21. I'm not asking for perfection. I'm not even asking for anything as it is up to us individually how we want to present our arguments. And I am still able to appreciate a good thought even when riddled with errors. But it does detract. Whether or not that's fair is another debate. But it does detract. And I know your posting well enough through the years to know the effort you put into it so while you are taking this personally to some degree, I do not point this at you whatsoever. As for how people's brains work, my sister is an educator and this is a very key component to her teaching style so I am well aware of that. However, basic lessons need not be overlooked for the sake of hurrying to make a post. There are many reasons going on here ... an intentional lack of caring is different from one who just has difficulties.
  22. And this is the difference between being lazy and not when it comes to 'polishing' one's grammar. You are correct that most of us can still understand the point another is making, regardless of the typos, misspellings and grammatical errors; but it really only takes a minute or two to read through one's post to make the simplest corrections before hitting 'post.' For me, having to read through another poster's typos and 'misplaced' grammar and 'switched homonyms' tends to give their points a little less credibility.
  23. If you are listening out of the area, yeah. I'm not sure what a MLB audio-only package is priced at these days, but I used to go that route. At that time it was $14.95 through the season, starting with ST.
