    In the Draft Signing Tracker article under Larnach’s name it says: “Signed For: Bonus is agreed to, amount not yet known.” To me that implies that a deal is there just not finalized. But I don’t know what and where the hold up is. I don’t even know when the time to be concerned is. <shrug> Maybe Seth or Andrew can shed some light on this for us?

    My guess is Motter comes off when he comes off the DL and gets sent down to AAA when Adrianza is set to come off the DL.

    They couldn’t sign him until the college World Series was over. That’s what the delay was. And, btw, this thread is being moved to the Minor League forum. That’s where threads on Larnach and draft signees needs to go.

    His actions don’t surprise me. When it comes to human decency, he will always, always, always be on the other side. I don’t accept his villainy as normal. But I do expect his villainy at every turn. I surprise myself by thinking I can’t be more disgusted with him and then he does something to prove me wrong.

    I was at the Cubs game on Sunday, and my thought was that his body somewhat resembled Danny Devito’s in his prime.

    When Adrianza is ready to come off the DL, they will DFA Motter who will likely be off the DL by then.

    Why do you keep spelling his name Austudillo? Is this an alternative? I’ve only seen it as Astudillo.

    Heading down to Fort Myers. The time I’m able to spend at the ballpark is always limited and varies, but hoping to see at least one of the two games being played at home this week ... #6 Barnes pitches Wednesday, #1 Wells pitches Thursday ... decisions, decisions ... if I can’t get to both.

    You don’t need to be pissed. Adrianza to the DL to make room on the 25-man, LaMarre designated for assignment or release to make room on the 40-man.

    Also, I don’t think Buxton needs the same access to the facilities and personnel that Sano does. It wasn’t so much as being demoted to high A as it was for Sano to have access to those specific facilities and personnel.

    He wasn't signed in April. If you read above, I changed the title of this thread to reflect the current-ness of the news. The original thread was there to say we were most likely to sign him, and today we did. Well, upon completion of his physical we will. We've agreed to terms today.

    I don't think so. He was signed today. And Severino, whom the Twins signed in December, also counts as part of this 2018/19 international pool.

    If Motter weren't on the DL I'd assume it would be him. Astudillo just provides a lot of flexibility and is a fun player to watch in a dismal season. But ... can't do much with Motter while on the DL and Polanco needs to be added. And they can't wait to add Polanco until Motter comes off the DL. Stupid rules.

    Ahh, yeah ... I guess that's right. Looking at what they might do vs what they should do ... I think then they might remove Astudillo. There are other candidates that should go first, imo ... but this is what I think they would do.
