  1. I'm probably in the minority here in that I would trade Gordon and Gonsalves for Realmuto. I'd be much obliged if someone could post a poll regarding this (or something similar). I'd like to know what people would be willing to give up.
  2. Is it just me or does Graterol remind anyone of a young King Felix?
  3. They get paid during suspensions?
  4. I've got it! If the game is tied after nine innings, each team chooses one player to participate in one round of a home-run derby. They can list an "extra innings loss" just like hockey does to help with tie-breakers at the end of the year.
  5. Is it just me, or did Wilson look better than Castro and Garver last night? Have our catchers been THAT bad so far?
  6. Do we go to a 6 man rotation? Saves innings on Romero and, to a lesser extent, Berrios. Keeps Santana fresh. I don't see any of the 6 being knocked out. Like mentioned above-good problem to have, and injuries happen every year.
  7. Back in the day I used to order a double cheeseburger and ask for the big mac sauce (this was when they were a buck). This is the way to go, but not sure if they will still do it. This has been your fast-food loophole-tip-of-the-day.
  8. I wouldn't say it's a bad show, but it is my least favorite show on the network. They can do a lot better.
  9. It's definitely been an odd beginning of the year...the games ppd, Polanco suspension, Ervin's injury, Buxton and Sano doing very little, etc. It's going to be tough to rebound enough where we make the playoffs, but I'm not willing to give up hope quite yet...you never know, we could be on the verge of rattling off 9 out of 10 any time here
  10. Man he is fun to watch. Throwing whiffle balls! If he has good command on a regular basis, he is definitely a front of the rotation guy.
  11. Quite sorry if my initial post upset you. By saying "no need to panic," I was not referring to sitting you or anyone else in the corner and telling you to take deep breaths. It was a simple statement meant to be geared towards any early failures the twins are having. I do not think the atmosphere is too negative. I enjoy the atmosphere. Quite nice actually. There's just a lot of people talking about early struggles, which happens every single year. The bullpen will be FINE! lol (thank you gil4 and Platoon for the laughs)
  12. Age makes no difference to me. He can hit 96/97 on a regular basis. Has a great change up. He has a ton of experience closing. So yes, he CAN be a good closer. Who's panicking? Have you looked around this site lately? Of course you make moves if things don't work out. But you have to let them play out first.
  13. We have created enough dumpster fires this year to cook a good amount of chicken dinners.
  14. It means Rodney will end up being a good closer. It means Reed will be a good set up man. It means Busenitz/Moya/Curtis will help. It means Lynn will start pitching much better. There are a lot of good players in the league off to slow starts. This happens every year. These players will pick it up, and players who have gotten off to great starts will start to slow down. No need to panic.
  15. No thanks. Rodney will be fine. Reed will be fine. We have reinforcements at AAA. Our starters will be fine. They will start to get us more innings. Lynn has been awful-but so has Stroman. It is a LONG year. No need to panic.
  16. I might be in the minority here, but I thought the pitch Sanchez hit out was a good one. 96 and just inside. Sanchez is good. And has been hitting a lot of bombs lately. I'm not saying I am confident in Rodney, but I am not saying I'm ready to give up on him just yet. Think it's going to come down to him using his change-up a bit more and better command on it and his fastball.
  17. I'd rather see Misael Urbina pitch. Seriously though, it would be nice if he could stay up for the entire season. We need a booster shot in the butt-cheek. Ervin will give us a shot in the other butt-cheek when he returns. .500 here we come!
  18. I wish I could have my toe nail drilled. Sounds fun.

    Machado

I think Kershaw remains a Dodger and Harper remains a Nat. Machado will be the only one up for grabs by the top $ bidders. If I am Philly, I might think about trading Crawford in a package right now for Machado to start courting him.
  20. Palka hitting 6th today for the Sox. Has a ribby.
  21. This is a stretch. But here it goes. A (Gross)man walks down the street He says why am I soft in the middle now Why am I soft in the middle The rest of my life is so hard Black hole (Morri)sun Won't you come And wash away the rain Jason hittin' like he's wearin a Castro. sorry. long day.
  22. I'll make sure to take extra shots of whiskey with my cheese and apps when Hughes is pitching.

    Machado

I like the Realmuto idea as well. Rodney might not last much longer. Reed seems to be our "Andrew Miller" guy. Would anyone trade Romero or someone similar for Betances to be our closer?

    Machado

I think you are right in what it would take to get him. I wouldn't trade Lewis..but would trade basically everyone else. That would be a fun lineup. yup.

    Machado

Baltimore is BAD. How long before they trade Manny and try to get as much in return as possible? Do they wait until the deadline? Any predictions?
