  1. The bank account and mental health say otherwise: 6 children, the oldest is 22 and the youngest is 6. Why is looking for details the sign of not having children?
  2. Things are alright, thanks for the perspective. Really, a 4 game divisional lead isn't half bad.
  3. Mental errors, laziness, and not hustling are luxuries this team (really no team) can afford if you want to achieve greatness. I am glad Eddie got back on the horse and atoned for yesterday's sins.
  4. I wanted to request a refund when Rosario didn't run out a ground ball an inning or two after dropping that routine fly ball.
  5. That's the essence of being a fan of men's professional sports teams in this town.
  6. How does the changed baseball impact the pitched ball? If it travels farther when hit, does that also mean the pitchers can throw it harder, faster, with more break, etc.?
  7. They have had some odd schedule quirks this season. Why were they just on the road for one series and now come home for only a 3 game series?
  8. I cannot wipe the memories of how awful he was during his time with the Twins. It is difficult to believe he is that much better 5 years later yet the numbers say otherwise.
  9. Maybe. I think there is a chance he was serious. I don't know what to think.
  10. You are kidding, right. You will switch allegiances because the manager 'talks good' during the post game interview? Then, only spews cliches. Goodness gracious man, flip off the T.V. after the game is done and go for a walk.
  11. You can't hate on the guy for what he did. We all have something outside of the Twins like a spouse, job, children, volunteer work, other hobbies and interests that might allow this to happen to us.
  12. Amen, brother. Amen. Polanco was bunting for a hit. Rocco did not call for the sacrifice, Polanco made his own decision. 1-0 pitcher's duel against a good team and that entire side of the infield open makes it a defensible decision to bunt. To say that play lost the game is a head scratcher. That person must have assumed that Polanco would have had a base hit instead of moving up the runners. Then, conveniently point to Cruz hitting a nubber as evidence hunting is bad.
  13. Joe's teams were 0-10 in the playoffs. I still firmly believe Joe is HOF worthy.
  14. This is the bad feeling in the pit of my stomach that the Twins get swept by Cleveland. Then, we look back and say what a terrible impact this sweep had on the Twins season. Or, is that just the battered Minnesota fan in me talking?
  15. Baseball Savant says this Sano's speaker shot: EV LA Dist Vel xBA 97.8 46 325 88.9 .020 What a joke. Good thing it didn't cost the Twins the victory. I still feel Twins fans cannot complain too much as our old stadium had the same issues.
  16. Too soon, it's not even June 1. My hope us that this is a precursor to a nice 5+ run of relevancy, multiple World Series appearances, and at least 1-2 titles. 2019 has been a fun run so far, nowhere near satisfying and they have accomplished nothing. Much work yet to be done.
  17. Arraez and Sano as stars of the game. Almost unthinkable and laughable... what, not much more than a week ago. Fun team so far this season.
  18. He already kind of did that on his first blog post: http://twinsdaily.com/blog/1250/entry-11411-march-madness-how-did-current-twins-did-in-college/
  19. You know, I am starting to ask myself if we can really believe in this team. Really believe they are legitimate World Series contenders and will add a title or two over the next five years. I was 15 in 1987 and 19 in 1991 when the Twins won their World Series titles. Life seemed so simple and I remember thinking the Twins will probably win a title at least every five years or so. Was I wrong. 28 years of nothing. Don't get me started on the Vikings. Here's hoping this club builds some fond memories for the fans. It's cliche, however, the fans in this town deserve a championship.
  20. Can clubs still protest a game? With the advent if instant replay, is a protest even an option?
  21. Maybe Sano is really only a 100-120 games per year guy who can crush HRs. If he cannot stay healthy for 2019 after coming back from this rehab stint then the Twins should look at penciling in Sano as the long term DH after Cruz is gone.
