    Now hitting .219 with a .624 OPS while playing almost entirely DH. I would kill for 2006 Jason Tyner right now. What are we clinging to?

    For God sake, do something with the offense. You could call up the entire Red Wings line-up and we it wouldn't be worse. Cut Grossman. Give Carter a shot. Or Rooker or anyone. Kepler was basically intentionally walked twice tonight to get to our DH. Get Gordon up here. Escobar needs a couple days off he can't buy a hit. Neither can Dozier. And if anyone from the BP has to go down, it better be Rogers.

    I don't have a huge problem. Think of it this way, we spent $6 million this year on Logan Morrison. Trading a second round pick for Morrison and a catching prospect isn't a terrible deal.

    This offense is so bad right now. I feel they have a about a 10% chance to score a run in a given inning.

    A Dozier HR would be nice here. What's it been about a month?

    They have to do something. Dozier leading off is a killer right now. I'd try Escobar. He's in a slump too and maybe leading off will snap him out of it. If Buxton had even had a pulse, I'd bat him lead-off but he's completely hopeless right now.

    Cut Grossman and get Carter up here. He has 13 HR's at AAA. He can certainly do better than Grossman's .644 OPS.

    Half of this is self-inflicted though. Wilson is playing 3/4 of the games for no good reason, and we're leaving Gordon in AAA to run Adrianza out there every single day. And now with Mauer out, we're going to DH Grossman while Vargas stay in the minors. It's needless handcuffing.

    I'm rapidly losing faith that Buxton will ever be more than a .220 #9 hitter who plays great defense. What a shame.

    Going right back into a tail-spin. I would again like to see them make some moves: -Cut Grossman and call up Granite or LaMarre. I'd rather they get a stronger RH bat, but there aren't any. -Cut Hughes. Put Lynn in the bullpen. Give Slegers the starts until Santana is ready. -Stop sitting Mitch Garver. The offense is putrid right now, they can't carry Bobby Wilson. -Tell Buxton he has to bunt at least once per game. Period.

    I was fearful they would do anything to justify keeping Lynn in the rotation when Santana comes back, even if it meant sending Romero back or Berrios out to "find his curveball". But he's been so awful they will have no choice. Cut Hughes and put Lynn in the long role. It's probably only 2 more starts until Santana is back, so they'll probably give him those two.

    Santana can't come back until 5/28. They have a double-header on 6/5. I wouldn't be surprised if they kick the can and just go with a 6 man rotation for at least 2 turns until after the double-header. We need to brace ourselves for the high possibility that they will keep Lynn over Romero if they can possibly justify doing so.

    I would trade Sano and keep both Dozier and Escobar assuming you could get it done for a combined $30 million/year or so.

    Another day. Another run cost on D. Another 0-fer. Now hitting a cool .176 with an OPS of .531. I don't care who they call up they can do better than this.

    His defense is awful. He single handedly gave up the tying run tonight. He's allowed multiple runs this week alone. And he's hitting .185. He doesn't even draw walks anymore. Granite or any replacement level player would be an upgrade. Why are we clinging to him?

    Firing Molitor won't solve anything. They need to get Buxton back. Grossman is killing them on D. They need Dozier/Rosario/LoMo to start hitting. They need to get Sano back. They need to start playing Garver ahead of Castro more. They need to re-organize the bullpen. Etc. Getting Buxton/Sano/Santana back will help. Until then, the pitching needs to stop sucking.

    Dick's being critical of Rogers, hopefully that means he's been given permission by the Twins and we're near the end.

    Because he was only at 60 pitches and our bullpen stinks. He still gives you the best chance to hold it at 4 and come back.

    I think you're being dramatic. But Buxton will rarely/ever be a 150 game/year player because of the way he plays D and runs the bases. 1-2 stints on the DL will be the norm. And that hurts his value big time IMO.

    Why take Berrios out already? And lord I am done with Taylor Rogers. Get him to AAA already.
