    The Garver thing is on Molitor but at some point it's also on Falvine. Much like Gardy with Punto, if your kid's diabetic, and you know they can't resist cake, but you keep buying cake, at some point it's on you.

    Moya. He was excellent in 2 innings on Tuesday. But we can't leave our young pitchers up here to develop when there's so much VP to squeeze out of Belisle here in this lost season. Also Magic Fingers Wilson is back in the line-up. He truly is our every day catcher. I guess we're never going to see Astudillo or give Garver more than one game to get his bat going. But the drive for .100 continues!

    Sure. If someone calls and offers you a top 10 prospect from their system, fine. But that's unlikely. Far more important to shop the 6-7 guys who aren't under team control for next year or have options we won't pick up.

    I'm not a "fire the manager" guy in mid-season because it does no good. But...yeah go ahead. I've seen enough.

    Odds that Magic Fingers Wilson is allowed to hit next inning? I'll go 90%.

    We can't trade everyone. We already have 6 or more tradeable pieces. How much less will he be worth 1 year from now. Keep him and look towards 2019. Not dump everyone and look towards 2021. If we trade everyone people suggest we'd be dumping 7 or 8 guys, getting 12 + prospects back in return and then having to release guys in the minors we might still like.

    Molitor's Wilson obsession is worse than Gardy's with Nick Punto and is bordering on a fireable offense. Ugh.

    We don't lower flags for "enemies of the people" so not shocking.

    They have an option on him for next year for $6 million IIRC with like a $1 million buyout. They should trade him and be done with it.

    Trade Dozier, Lynn, Rodney, Morrison and Duke for whatever you can get. Sign Escobar to an extension. Line-up for the rest of the season: Mauer 1B Polanco SS Rosario LF Escobar 3B Kepler RF Vargas/Sano DH Garver C Gordon 2B Buxton CF Bench Astudillo Adrianza Cave Vargas/Sano Rotation: Berrios Romero Gibson Odorizzi Santana (until he builds trade value) Hildy-Closer Reed Rodgers Moya Buesintz Duffey Magill Pressly (perhaps trade him if any value)

    Same reason that Wilson and Grossman are. Veteran presence. It's working so well.

    This game is over. The Twins will be swept in this series. The season is over. But I look forward to 100 more Bobby Wilson AB's. Can he stay above .100? Tune in to find out.

    +1. I was as down on him as anyone, but he's been pretty good for an extended period now. Just don't over-use him.

    I get that you're being sarcastic (I hope) but I sadly think the Twins will use this as an excuse to keep him over the new guy, .130 BA and all.

    DFA Wilson. DFA Belisle. Option Majia. Polanco. Duffey and Moya up. Sleggers or Romero come up to start Thursday and Moya or Rodgers goes down. Grossman is DFA'd when Buxton comes back.

    Very true. The SD Democratic party basically is now a shell. I do have a small sliver of hope for the Gubernatorial candidate this year. A State Senator, disabled former cowboy from west river. Fairly moderate. Basically trying to run as an independent saying parties don't matter. I don't think he can win, but a single digit loss would be a victory.

    You don't go from Mayor of a small city to President in one leap. There are several Senators and a couple of governors who make sense.

    They're already going to trade Dozier, Lynn and Duke for sure and quite possibly Rodney. Yes, we need to get some depth, but we will be. I see zero reason not to be pushing hard for an extension right now. Also, can someone explain to me how the QO would be $17 million or whatever I've seen here? That seems way high.
