  1. Wheeler traded to Dodger for Cash Money.
  2. 2 run HR. Solid single. Great play at 1st. Sent Ben Revere sprawling in his other AB.
  3. I never doubted Castro for a moment. Believe me.
  4. Ugh. Now we have to depend on Castro to not strike out or hit a ground ball. Good luck.
  5. I was referencing Escobar and Adrianza obviously. We don't need both of them on the bench.
  6. Not him specifically, but we run at least two .200 hitters out there every night, and Rosario is streaky as hell. Meanwhile we cling to having two redundant middle infielders.
  7. Get Park or Polka up here or invent an injury and get Vargas back ASAP. This offense can't support this pitching staff.
  8. I'm glad this potent offense has no use for Vargas.
  9. He should have used one of the two fresh arms, and if he was going to run Pressly out there, he should have had one of them warming up and had a very quick hook. He obviously had nothing.
  10. He has a hard enough time announcing Vikings games, I really don't want Paul Allen managing our bullpen.
  11. This place never changes. Today was a train-wreck largely on the manager, but also largely due to unfortunate carry-over circumstances. All that said, we're in 1st place on May 29th and y'all are firing the manager, the pitching coach and demoting 2/3 of the bullpen all at once, because these are all totally logical things to do. Let's start with DL'ing or demoting Presley and calling up one of the AA arms, and then go from there. Beslisle's leash does have to be getting short too.
  12. The guy's just not good. He's hung on for far too long because of an above average fastball. His fastball has no movement and he can't hold runners to save his life. Awful combination in a reliever. DFA him already.
  13. I love how the front office is hand-wringing about the 40 man. Santana is trash. Tonkin is trash. Breslow is no loss. I would shed no tears over Gibson. If the people who can help up us are not on the 40-man who cares? Get them up here.
  14. This offense is so much fun to watch. Cling to Breslow like grim death.
  15. This lead is insurmountable. But at least we have Craig Breslow available instead of Vargas.
  16. Can we put Gibson in the bullpen and get Berrios up here or does he have too much veteran presence?
  17. At some point, don't you make up some an injury/declare concussion symptoms back and just let him ride out the rest of this contract on the DL? Perkins is also a native with an awful contract, but at least we don't have to watch them drag him out there and make him try to pitch the 9th inning every other day because his contract says so.
  18. Awful decision to pitch to Garcia there. And they really need to get a real DH up here and platoon Grossman in left. This offense can't afford to play with one hand tied behind it's back.
  19. Tonkin and Breslow are both replacement level at best. Tonkin can't be used in a meaningful innings without runners doing the conga on him and he's HR prone. Breslow is cooked. I could care less which one they get rid of. Just get Park or Vargas up here ASAP.
  20. I get that the new regime has their own way of doing things and this is temporary. But not keeping Park is now the main headline heading into the season. It's not worth the amount of flack they are taking to keep whoever they consider the 8th BP guy to be. Park 2.0 was one of the few intriguing story lines in the every day line up and no one wants to spend time or money watching Robbie Grossman.
  21. Theoretically, the Twins and Marlins would be worth similar amounts. But I'd peg that between $600-900 million. The Pohlad's won't sell until the penalty related to the new stadium goes away if then (2020 I believe)
  22. Pick him back up. I've seen enough Robbie Grossman to last a good while.
