    This. His D has always been over-rated. He should be traded period. Even if Sano wasn't going to play 3B, Plouffe will not be worth his salary next year. I'd rather play Polanco there at this point.

    I'm honestly surprise they don't bag it tonight. It's 11:30 and the game was a joke. I doubt their viewers reach 3 digits.

    There's no functional difference to Terry going now or in October, but sometimes you just have to let the bad air out of the building. If the Twins play half-way decent in the 2nd half, I will be conflicted because I don't want a meaningless stretch of good play to save his job. Fans shouldn't have to feel that way. A move now says change is coming and let's everyone focus on the positives, if there are any.

    You could be right, but I doubt it. Even in years where they clearly had $$ to spend, Ryan usually doesn't spend it. He simply does not like FA signings unless absolutely desperate (such as starting pitching in 2012-14).

    It will be very, very difficult to remain a Twins fan if Terry Ryan is still the GM of this team on November 1st. I'm not holding my breath.

    I am less impressed with Molitor every day. He's no upgrade over Gardy, he just picks different things to make weird decisions about.

    +1. There is no excuse for burning a roster spot the last 3 months of 2015 while in contention and then giving up on him weeks into the following season. One or the other was a deeply flawed decision. Borderline incompetence.

    The penalty for selling the team is about to expire. It would be best if the disinterested Pohlads would sell and let a new owner clean house.

    He's had the job for 18 years. He was horrible for the first 6 and the last 6. That's not cherry-picking. It's failure 2/3 of the time. If you had that track record, you'd be fired. This team will never win a World Series or likely even a play-off series as long as Terry Ryan is the GM.

    There are many things that should be done. Polanco should play every day hitting 1st or second. Sano needs to play 3rd. Trade Plouffe. Failing that, he plays RF Get Kepler up and play him every day. Get Buxton up the second he's got his confidence back. This OF defense is a crime. Trade Nolasco Trade Jepsen As part of above. Get a catcher. Any catcher. Oh and tell Terry Ryan to have a nice retirement.
