  1. I'm over the moon happy if we can draft Lee Hunter at 49 overall. Other DTs I want to see their RAS scores this week are Kayden McDonald and Caleb Banks. I want a big beefy NT for this defense
  2. Sheriff Chafin topping out at 87 MPH today
  3. As far as ticket plans, that's exactly what I would do too. No reason to spend more money on a ticket when your intention is to get the ballpark experience vs. the individual game you're attending.
  4. A road trip with your pup sounds like a great way to spend your summer. Here's a pretty comprehensive list of Bark at the Park nights in MLB. Hopefully you can line up a couple of nights so your dog can enjoy a hot dog and ballpark festivities too! https://citydogmagazine.com/dog-friendly-baseball-games/
  5. Kwesi goes back to San Fran to create pivot tables in their spreadsheets
  6. This right here is where the HOF lost me. The odds of me ever going to Cooperstown to visit the HOF are low as it is. It’s even lower after they black balled 90% of the players that made me a fan of baseball as a kid in the late 90s/early 2000s.
  7. I'm an advocate for a big HOF in every professional sport. It’s a museum, not the pearly gates to heaven. But we’ve been dealing with old crotchety gate keepers to this museum for decades.
  8. Terrible news. 25 is way too young to go.
  9. 413 ft big boy bomba from Lewis
  10. Joe Ryan late scratch from this start?? Edit: low back tightness according to Attebury
  11. McCarthy requires a complete transformation of everything we've seen of him so far in his career. Mechanics, demeanor, maturity, basically everything as a human being. What are the odds of that?
  12. As we would say in Texas, bless your heart. Even the best QB gurus in the game can't save everyone. Example A is Trey Lance in San Francisco.
  13. If he gets that opportunity, I suppose anything is possible. But there’s always new McCarthy types that enter the league every year. Unless he has some undeniable physical traits like Darnold has.
  14. https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/analysis/jj-mccarthy-stats-2025-vikings-passing-analysis/ This article doesn't instill any hope for McCarthy's development.
  15. Are you looking to hit a salary floor with that comment? And hit a salary cap? Who knows what baseball looks like after this season.
  16. D because a couple of the tidal wave of recently signed 30+ year old relievers will work out this season.
  17. Wouldn’t be smart, but I think the reigning MVP is worth a 1st round pick + more if he was acquired via trade.
  18. Beyond Winston having a random hot streak, no one is realistically competing against McCarthy for the starting job. My simple assumption this season is they will acquire a veteran via FA or trade. The question is how deep is that fishing line going? Deep enough to catch Burrow or Lamar during their interventions with their current teams? If Dallas Mavericks GM decided one day to call up the Lakers and offer up Luka Doncic for street clothes Anthony Davis and a 1st, anything is possible!
  19. 2026 age seasons in this Version 1.0 Bullpen: 37: Hendriks 36: Chafin 35: Rogers and Topa 32: Banda 29: Funderburk 28: Orze, Sands 26: Adams Wow, talk about a youth movement building a bullpen from scratch. 4 out of 9 names 35 or older.
  20. Richardson is basically JJM 1 year into the future... Especially if McCarthy is benched for most of this season for a veteran. https://www.sports-reference.com/stathead/football/versus-finder.cgi?player_id2=RichAn03&player_id1=McCaJJ00&request=1&utm_medium=sr_xsite&utm_id=McCaJJ00&utm_source=pfr&utm_campaign=2023_01_wdgt_player_comparison If Richardson is worth maybe a 6th round pick at best, then maybe we should consider trading McCarthy now for a day 2 pick and cut our losses... It all depends on the quality of veteran they acquire.
  21. No wonder why I love Lee Hunter... Fat Pat Williams was one of my favorite Vikings players ever.
  22. In general I agree, but this year's fate was decided back on July 31, 2025 when they gutted the bullpen. But instead of taking our medicine and finish out the rebuild, Tommy boy reversed course when it makes zero sense to do so. This isn't just a Twins thing, it's a disease spread throughout Minnesota sports. The Vikings rattle off 5 meaningless wins when they were eliminated from the playoffs before Thanksgiving to finish 9-8. The Wild spent over a decade chasing mediocrity and 1st round playoff exits.
  23. Just wanted to put some thoughts down in regards to our quest to acquire a veteran QB this offseason. We know it's going to happen because heading into 2026 with a QB room similar to JJM - Wentz - UDFA Brosmer is going to get KOC fired. And I assume he wants to keep his job... Assumptions: They're not gonna go back to the draft to find their guy in 2026. This is how I'd break down any potential acquisition... I'm ignoring every QB early in their rookie contracts because they're not getting traded like Maye, Williams, Daniels, Ward, etc. Move heaven and earth to acquire: Lamar, Burrow, Mahomes, Allen, Herbert - If any of these guys are ever available, you trade 3+ 1st round picks, players, cut players to make it work cap wise... Anything to acquire them. 1st round pick and more: Stafford, Mayfield, Dak, Hurts, Lawrence, Stroud 2nd round pick + more?: Mac Jones, Danny Dimes Mid-round pick at best: Brissett, McKee, Milton, Rattler, Anthony Richardson Wait until they're cut?: Murray and Tua - With B-Flo back in purple, I can't imagine Tua wants anything to do with that. Free Agents?: I personally don't see the fit with Malik Willis who appears to be due for $20-30 million per season on the open market. Marcus Mariota I don't see the fit either - he doesn't push the ball downfield enough. Kenny Pickett and Zach Wilson have never shown any NFL success... Rodgers, Russ Wilson, and Joe Flacco are so old
