  1. Cam Akers QB 1 as expected
  2. I can only speak for myself but I'd most likely not be a Twins fan today if they missed the playoffs from 2002-2021 like the Mariners. I doubt I'd be much of a baseball fan in general. I was 11 years old in 2001. The Twins early 2000s success was a key factor into me diving into the Twins. My earliest baseball fandom was reading the box scores every morning to track the McGwire/Sosa HR race in 1998
  3. They're the 1 seed for a reason... but I like the Cubbies in that series.
  4. The stat goes to show how long they were in MLB purgatory for. 24 years in between something home fans had something to cheer for in a playoff game...
  5. Yankees Mariners ALCS and Dodgers Cubs NLCS is my prediction
  6. He scored the first run for the Mariners in a home playoff game since October 18, 2001
  7. Narrator: they will not hold up
  8. Can Philly’s bullpen hold up tonight? I wanted more drama and got it
  9. This is a classic Bader game. Now leaning in to get that hit by pitch
  10. Bader with the sweet sliding catch in CF. He’s making himself known in this game
  11. The early games were blowouts. Hopefully there’s a little more drama in this Phillies Dodgers game.
  12. His agent coached him up on those quotes. Pretend you’re happy with the direction of the team while I work in the background getting you out of here
  13. It's not a hill I'm willing to die on, but for the record Joe Ryan and Jarren Duran both finished with 4.5 bWAR this year. If we want more speed and better defense, Duran fits the description.
  14. For the record, a Joe Ryan for Jarren Duran + whatever else it takes to complete that trade is something I'm still very interested in. Duran is controlled through 2029, and the Red Sox can figure out what it takes to lock in Ryan long term.
  15. McVay goes for the win on 4th and 1 and fails. 9ers DL stepped up!
  16. 9ers kicker doinks it off the crossbar and in for the FG. Rams ball
  17. This player might become the next great thing, but it's going to take 4-7 years for people to learn how to spell his name correctly
  18. Dang. Looks like the Rams should have won this one outright but fumbled at the goal line?
  19. Catching this TNF game at the bitter end. Another OT starting shortly for the 9ers and Rams...
  20. There's still time to create a cage with netting underneath the goal posts. Then Will the Thrill and whoever the kicker is for the Browns can do penalty kicks instead of playing OT.
  21. Dodgers Cubs NLCS is a fun matchup. Sorry, I got no confidence in the Brew Crew. Regular season warriors
  22. That low strike 3 call on Bogaerts was the difference maker in that game. Should have been bases loaded.
  23. Why would we believe anything they say when they can't even state the correct number they're in debt? If the economics of owning a mid/small market team is as bad as the Pohlads portray them to be, we would have up to 15 teams closing shop. If the economics is that bad, they would have taken the $1.5 B offer from Ishbia immediately and died laughing that someone was stupid enough to offer that much.
  24. Can't comment on 1977, but agreed that last year was way worse. We were in the driver's seat to clinch a wild card spot until early September. That collapse was epic. This year the season was over around mid June.
  25. It’s truly a slap in the face to anyone with just a little bit of financial literacy. I missed these puff pieces written in the Star Tribune when they were published, but they were linked in the yahoo story… https://www.startribune.com/why-the-pohlad-family-decided-to-keep-the-minnesota-twins/601455080 https://www.startribune.com/joe-pohlad-keeps-the-faith-even-after-twins-fire-sale-and-fan-backlash/601474514 Of course Glen Taylor who owns the Star Tribune has no issue carrying the water for another local billionaire family.
