  1. Turns out Levine was the smartest person in the room and left this mess of an organization before his reputation was tarnished.
  2. Internal choice: Brian Dinkelman External choice: If I knew the correct answer, I'd be getting paid a 7 figure salary in MLB. I would be no different than looking at the media guides of successful teams. Hey, that's how we hired Derek Falvey!
  3. It’s why I always put Falvey first in my statements to fire Twins employees. Job titles are fickle in baseball, but I’m pretty confident Falvey is top 5-8 ranked in tenure for architects of baseball rosters. Cashman (1998), Mozeliak (2007), Preller and Friedman (2014) are the ones I’ve seen in searches that have been in charge longer than Falvey (Nov 2016). Plans change all the time. Falvey was chosen to lead the Twins in transition between ownership groups, but that doesn’t need to continue now that the Pohlads aren’t selling. Clearly he’s doing a very poor job running the business side of the Twins. He’s doing just as poorly managing the talent on the baseball side.
  4. It’s a shame Falvey and Co decided that they didn’t want to expose additional minor league talent to this disaster. They chose to waste these opportunities and innings on players who have no future in the organization. Now we head into the offseason with question marks everywhere. The bullpen is Sands, maybe Funderburk, and shrug emoji. Lineup is a complete mess. Rotation has names, but no confidence to write in #3-5. It’s time for a new era. Fire Falvey, and fire Baldelli.
  5. Brosmer time!
  6. I can’t remember the last time we blew out a team this bad at halftime
  7. Defense is playing unreal today. My god
  8. dumb penalties and sacks is keeping this from being a complete blowout
  9. Holy cow that was a 5 min delay
  10. First virtual measurement of the season for us?
  11. this is what the defense was built for. Get a lead and then tee off on the opposing QB.
  12. I’m all for banning that play next year. QB sneak, sure. But that play is just cheating.
  13. Excellent start so far. Felt like Price had a lot more open space to gain yardage on that punt return, no?
  14. He’s here to save the season! The offense looks so much better with Darrisaw back
  15. Still don’t understand why every week we have 3 or 4 healthy CBs. If Murphy or Rodgers gets injured we are in big trouble. I do feel confident that Wentz elevates the floor of the offense because it can’t get much worse. Battle of the backup QBs. Just like the NFL wants in week 3… Vikes win a tight one I’ll say 20-17.
  16. You’re happy with how things are going since July 31?
  17. There’s what, maybe 2 or 3 manager openings every year? If someone wants to take the next step to manager they’ll take it. Not to mention it’s a fully guaranteed contract.
  18. Fire Falvey and Baldelli. It’s really that simple. Anything less is prolonging the rebuild process.
  19. The cherry on top of this horrendous 2nd half of the season is losing Lopez to another arm injury. A valuable trade chip potentially gone this winter.
  20. I watch games like this then read about paths to contention in 2026. And all I can do is laugh. We’re so far away from contention. I’m not even sure we have 1 reliable bullpen arm at this point.
  21. If he didn’t do it, our bullpen surely would have been up to the task
  22. This is prime seat surfing weather at Target Field. Go catch a couple innings behind home plate!
  23. Exit velocity. O'Niel Cruz leads MLB in exit velocity. You know what that's gotten him? A .204 batting average and .687 OPS. But at least he leads the league in exit velocity!
