    Feels very short sighted to likely lose a 25 year old player because you need a fresh arm for 1 game.

    It can always get worse. Same reasoning applied to Max Brosmer starting at QB for the Vikings.

    They do? Look at St Paul’s roster and report back. I don’t have an immediate solution for SWR but the Twins are one of the last teams in MLB to give up on a 25 year old SP. This isn’t a playoff contending team.

    The offense wasn’t supporting any starter in games he’s played in. Run support for SWR this season when he left the game: 1, 1, 4, 1, 0, 0, 2, 2, and 1 today. Prime Nolan Ryan ain’t winning jack squat with that run support.

    Only way to reverse course is embracing the youth movement. Get Culpepper up ASAP. Call up Gonzalez to take over Bell’s spot as 1B/DH. Call up Jenkins and E-Rod if they’re ever healthy this season.

    Twins batter splits in the past 7 days: Clemens - 7 GP - 29 AB - .545 OPS Bell - 7 GP - 24 AB - .352 OPS Kreidler - 7 GP - 19 AB - .474 OPS Martin - 6 GP - 25 AB - .680 OPS When Orlando Arcia is your hottest hitter over the past week, you're gonna have a really tough time.

    Both are equally important for the competitive nature of the game. Make the owners accountable for putting a quality team on the field, and don't allow the Dodgers to spend over 2x what the league average payroll is.

    I don't know why he would. Maybe things have drastically improved on his end, but he went on record multiple times last season criticizing the organization and how things have been handled since the 2023 playoffs. Are the Twins going to offer him the most money on the FA market? I highly, highly doubt it.

    The Twins are in no position to give up on a 25 year old pitcher who's shown some MLB success over 2+ seasons... That being said, I really don't know what to do about SWR at this point. Burying him in the bullpen isn't a great solution.

    Agree with your last 2 paragraphs. I fail to understand your hesitancy in the first 2 paragraphs. I hope Culpepper is up on the Twins tomorrow to be honest. He has been red hot at the plate all of May.

    Pre season I predicted the White Sox would pass the Twins and that will be the most frustrating part of the season after they’ve been historically bad for the last 3 seasons. Whelp…Here we are.
