  1. https://www.latimes.com/sports/story/2025-07-20/mlb-pitching-injuries-keith-meister-tommy-john-surgery A good article about the topic. Until changes are made at the top level, it's going to keep trickling down to the lower levels. Over the last 15+ years the only thing that's mattered is maxing out your effort, velocity, and spin on every pitch. Elbow ligaments be damned.
  2. It's too late now, but this is why I wanted to complete the rebuild this winter. Unfortunately we have an ignorant owner that believes he can just say we'll be competitive and it will come true. Now Pablo's value is down in the dumps after 2 injury riddled seasons in a row.
  3. Forearm strains usually lead to elbow problems which leads to Tommy John Surgery next.
  4. I was just going to post a follow up because I missed the previous report of him being investigated for improper spending of union funds... https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/45394094/fbi-probes-finances-mlbpa-partnership
  5. Probably not a good sign being less than 1 year away from the biggest CBA negotiation in the sport's history.
  6. BREAKING: Current Twins employee receiving pay checks directly from the team is optimistic about the team that compensates him. This is groundbreaking.
  7. That's why James Outman is still with this organization. He's the most likely fill in CF this season.
  8. I've liked this guy for a while purely because of his look. If I ran into someone at a bar with Chafin's physique, long hair, and mustache, I know I'm in for a wild time.
  9. Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss was denied 4 separate times to get a 6th season of college eligibility... Until he presented the case to a Mississippi judge, who ironically received their law degree from Ole Miss. Now he's temporarily granted a 6th year of eligibility. What a mess NCAA football has become. Truly the wild west...
  10. You know what, this is their best move of the offseason. The bar is pretty low, but at least this guy could be a late innings type of reliever.
  11. This. The promo items to get people in the stadium is limited to the first 5-10k fans. For some items it’s limited to which gate you enter in the stadium… Whereas in LA if there’s a Freddie Freeman bobblehead, there’s enough for all 45k people that enter the stadium. Here’s 2 free ideas for the Pohlads that would cost them nothing to implement. - Every ticket scanned into the stadium is automatically entered into a lottery. If the seats behind home plate are vacant by the top of the 3rd, the lottery begins and winners are upgraded to those seats. - I remember when the Timberwolves were a god awful team, they ran promos if you bought an upper level ticket and showed up an hour before the game, your tickets were automatically upgraded to the lower level.
  12. Couldn't have described a typical Twins signing any better over the last 30+ years. Was he previously good more than 2 years ago? Check. Does he have ties here previously? Check. Bonus points awarded if he was a former all-star in his career.
  13. I have no idea about soccer prices, but I can say with 100% certainty that getting in the door at Target Field is the cheapest option out of the Vikings, Wolves, and Wild. I've gone to several Twins games last minute, and got in the door for $10-15. Brought in a Yeti full of ice, and enjoyed a game without spending another penny at Target Field.
  14. I realize this is a throwaway question at the end for commenting purposes, but who would say yes to this question? Best case scenario is he's just a warm body for camp. Worst case scenario he finds his way on the opening day roster.
  15. I think the Bears are a hybrid 4-3 type of defense? Time is a flat circle and Chicago could replicate the Kalil Mack trade again.
  16. If I'm the Wilfs I'm offering an open invitation to any Seattle Seahawks FO people who have played a role in drafting for them over the last 10+ years.
  17. I've seen worse Super Bowls but this one was pretty boring all around. Commercials are frequently becoming AI garbage, neither QB did well, and 90% of the halftime show was in Spanish.
  18. Really good to hear from Stefon Diggs tonight. Spinning the ball on a 1st down losing 29-7.
  19. Strip sack TD for the Seachickens. I'm out.
  20. Unfortunately we'll never know if a healthy Bo Nix and Denver's legit D would have done better. New England had the easiest schedule and the easiest path to the Super Bowl in a long time.
  21. \ Me watching that Maye INT
