    Yeah, all this proposal does is continue their goal of shrinking the minor leagues. Also, college isn't for everyone... Making them go to college for 2 years minimum doesn't do anything to advance their education or their goal of becoming a professional baseball player.

    The legendary ones have a deep unique voice. Vin Scully, John Sterling, Jack Buck and Joe Buck… Or they’re the funniest person on the planet like Bob Uecker. Caserta in that department is AAA talent.

    I can’t remember how the supplemental draft works… If the NYJ takes him in the 2nd round do they lose their 2027 2nd round pick as a result?

    Obligatory yes. I got a chuckle out of the question. For most, it’s probably the latter. The thing that sticks out to me the most is his voice. It lacks depth and conviction. Hard to shake that when we had Dick Bremer over 40 years and now Cory Provus. To me, Caserta’s voice sounds like something I hear streaming a high school football game.

    Re: The Phillies.... I'm still interested in Painter. Perhaps there's a prospect package to be made for Joe Ryan. We're overdue for the classic Dave Dombrowski depleting the farm system to win now.

    Not buying the Buxton speculation at this time… Him and Pablo can be the veteran leadership needed for 2027. Ryan and Jeffers absolutely. They will both bring back high quality players in trades. The rest of the names? Sure why not. I don’t expect the return to move the needle much.

    Makes zero sense to me as a 36 year old. Why would I want to watch others recording every second of their lives? Just like the youths watching people play video games without playing it themselves.

    My hawt taek: Gregg Caserta won’t be an MLB caliber PBP guy with his voice… We’re used to deep voices with conviction in Dick Bremer and Cory Provus. Caserta’s voice is something you hear in a stream of a high school football game.
