  1. Now that I know that, I've lost ALL respect for them...
  2. Zenser's Resume: 2008-Present: GM Minnesota Twins on MLB the Show 2004-2007: GM Minnesota Twins on MVP Baseball 2001-2004: GM Minnesota Twins on Triple Play Baseball You're hired!
  3. And it was a dramatic ordeal on this website when we learned Falvey or Levine didn't call Dougy Baseball to let him know his contract wasn't being renewed. Actually, that seems to be a trend with this duo. Not calling their current employees.
  4. Taking out the obvious connection between him and Levine, why else would we want him? Texas is trending in the wrong direction. It also appears Bannister did very little to develop their young players like Mazara, Odor, and Calhoun.
  5. Very awkward. Just cut the cord. Don't leave him hanging by a thread.
  6. Agreed. He was getting blamed for things outside of his job duties here on TD most of the season. Oh well, Molitor will be just fine. A new manager is only one step to the equation. It's not going to fix the talent deficiencies on the field.
  7. Wonder if they'll promote from within or look elsewhere. I'm only partially kidding with these replacement ideas: Chris Gimenez and Matt Belisle. There must be some reason Falvine keeps bringing them back on their rosters.
  8. Right? I'd rather try to win 90 games with players who have zero ties to the Twins, or try to win 65 games with the young prospects. I'd rather not bring the band back together and win 78 games.
  9. They won't sign 2 players for more than what Escobar is projected. But there will be 2 players signed that are more valuable than Escobar. We just won't know until this time next year who it was.... Who would have guessed Anibal Sanchez was the best FA SP for the Twins?
  10. Not to pick on you Doc, but I keep reading super utility tied to Escobar all over TD, and I'm curious why he would agree to that? He's been an every day player this year, starting nearly every game at 3B. Don't you think he wants an every day role after years of having to prove himself and fight his way into the lineup? He's started a grand total of 29 games at SS, and 6 at 2B the last 2 seasons. Compared to 201 starts at 3B. I'm confused where this narrative of him being a super utility guy is coming from. He appears locked in as an every day 3B from the stats and eye test. Remember in 2016 when he started a bunch of games at SS? He doesn't have the arm to survive unless in emergency situations.
  11. Which is strange IMO... The best they've done is win 85 games. Be bold, do something different.
  12. I'm curious what Josh Donaldson's contract projection is. If he figured out the whole dead arm situation that could be a high risk, high reward option.
  13. Kudos to you Tom for another great season of game recaps. This season was really tough. Full of frustration, confusion, and periods of hopelessness. It would have been easy to give up doing game recaps when apathy set in. I read your recaps and kept up with the team whether I posted or not. Thank you.
  14. Musk would have received a slap on the wrist not admitting guilt, pay fines, step down as chairman, and hire 2 new directors but he backs out. He can't get out of his own way right now.
  15. Tilray up $16 in the last day.... Ugh.
  16. Haven't had time to dig into this story yet, but SEC is suing Elon Musk?
  17. He's the last remaining Twins player from my childhood... If it's the end I'm going to miss him. I don't see any current or future Twin playing 15+ years for this organization.
  18. Night and day difference between today's game and Fresno State.
  19. Rough start to the Big 10 schedule. Lots of missed tackles on defense today.
  20. The cannabis industry is well beyond growing low grade stuff in their closet and smoking it... They're becoming consumer products for its psychoactive effects, or medicinal effects. Heck, in your own state you can buy non-alcoholic weed infused drinks! https://www.businessinsider.com/heineken-marijuana-beer-taste-photos-lagunitas-2018-
  21. Extremely interested in Aurora. Especially if there's any truth behind their potential partnership with Coca Cola to make a cannibas drink. I'm wondering where they'll open at when they make stocks available in the US.
  22. Also, fear doesn't make money. There's some value bets to be made in the market right now... Looks like banking is one of them. I'm also keeping a close eye on the marijuana industry. Tilray's stock is plummeting this week and it could be a good value play given that Canada is legalizing marijuana on Oct. 17.
  23. I don't want to piggy back starters or deal with openers next season. Find 5 good starting pitchers. That should always be the goal. Always.
