    I like Hockenson a lot but not enough to pay market resetting money to. He still has to play this year out regardless. And, hate to say it but we can place the franchise tag on him which will be cheaper.

    I’d much prefer acquiring just Lance on the cheap, but here is a crazy thought this close to the season… Kirk for Lance and their 1st either 2024 or 25. Trading Kirk always made sense after June 1st… This close to the season I doubt a blockbuster like that happens. But it would help achieve the goal of getting a top QB with 2 1st round picks.

    I see a lot of positives with the acquisition - if it happens. Now several insiders are talking about the Vikings and Lance. He is simply more gifted than Jaren Hall in every way. It’s an interesting test for KOC and staff to develop their own QB.

    The team acquiring Lance would only have to pick up $940k this year and $5.3 million next year. It’s an intriguing gamble to trade a day 3 pick for him. While true, he may be too raw to play in the NFL, I’m not ready to give up on a 23 year old.

    Rapoport is bringing back the old rumor of Lance to the Vikings. There’s been too much smoke for it not to happen.

    Also, Tony LaRussa is back as a consultant for the White Sox! No need to worry about them for the next 5 years.

    I was slightly concerned they would hire someone externally who would turn around the franchise. Instead, they’re promoting their Player Development person, who has been in the role for 7 years. And Dayton Moore looks like a guy who needs to call IT to open an excel file on his computer.

    Each pitcher has about 6 starts left for the regular season. I’d probably skip him in the rotation at least once in September to save him for a playoff start. Realistically if he’s around 160-170 innings that will be fantastic. If we go on a miracle WS run, then he can push it to the absolute limit of 180-185 innings.

    Him and I are just gonna have to sweat it out at 8 or 9 PM. Fortunately for us it will still be 90 degrees at that time.

    I got played like a fiddle by my dog… We already went outside at 4:30 so he could go to the bathroom. He’s been pouting and whining by the door so I thought he had to 💩. Turns out the first walk wasn’t long enough for his liking.

    I agree about 2 expansion teams coming soon. It’s overdue for baseball to expand, and 32 teams is the ideal number for sports leagues. I think Nashville will be one of the expansion teams after a couple more years of current teams using them as a negotiation ploy. The 2nd team I think they’ll try to be west of the Mississippi River to maintain balance. Austin or San Antonio makes sense. I’d love to see my created team on Out of the Park Baseball come to life… The Omaha Steer!
