    I’m happy the Twins are finally having this conversation. It should have happened on June 1, but better late than never. Get him healthy enough to play 60% of the remaining games in the field - including consecutive days. If he can do that, I’ll be thrilled to have him back. If he requires 1-2 days off after playing in the field, resulting in the Twins playing short handed, I have minimal interest in that.

    Can’t remember which Vikings blog I read it on but I recall them saying the years and $ amount is agreed upon with Hockenson, but the guaranteed money is the hold up. I’m not worried about it yet. Hopefully it gets done in the next week or 2. I don’t think we’ll get Jefferson locked in this year.

    I saw a couple of series towards the end of the first half last night. Oli Udoh had the type of game that gets people released. Multiple penalties and multiple sacks given up, including on back to back plays. I don’t know why we moved Brandel to RG. Shift him back to the swing tackle role and sign a vet RG to compete against Ingram.

    I’m with you and lean towards no rehab assignment. He’s not going to learn anything there. Just get him healthy enough to play CF and let it ride as long as they can.

    I’m going to call a spade a spade. There are certain TD writers who have given it every effort they have to raise expectations because they’re such homers about the Twins. It’s not even objective writing anymore. It’s just a fantasy land about the 2023 Twins being “Built for October”, Sonny Gray being a Cy Young favorite, and Royce Lewis/Ed Julien being superstars. This team right before opening day had an over/under of 81.5 wins. This is what they’ve always been. A middling .500 team. There were no expectations of being great. And now every team in the division has decided to quit so we will win the AL Central by default

    Did we enter the easy part of the schedule now? KC, Pittsburgh and Detroit are tough outs evidently.

    Every division in baseball has at least 2, up to 4 teams trying to compete. Even a few desperately trying to win like the Angels and Reds, for better or worse. Then we have the AL Central. Where every team except the Twins wants to lose. Yet we still find a way to screw things up. It’s crazy.
