  1. Jim Nantz saying the Packers are 2-4 for the first time since 2006 hits different. Feels good that they have felt reality where HOF QBs don’t grow on trees.
  2. I should also say Trevor May one day working for whatever the network is called that the Twins sign with this offseason is pure speculation. The “famous” Twitch streamers make plenty of money as an independent voice. Maybe Trevor has no interest going the same route as Morneau, Perkins, Plouffe, etc.
  3. Why would the Twins care about what Trevor May publicly said about the Athletics? Trevor Plouffe has a daily opinion about other MLB teams on his Jomboy podcasts and has appearances with the Twins too.
  4. I mean, he’s probably not going to get paid by the Athletics organization after this and he knows it. Oh well. It’s not like what he said was wrong.
  5. Who was 2nd on the 2017 Twins leaderboard for pitching appearances? This very happy guy right here! Twins legend Matt Belisle.
  6. Tony Batista was the starting 3B for 50 something games on one of my favorite Twins teams of all time. He was not the reason the 2006 Twins did well.
  7. He will be missed on the baseball field. Definitely one of the good guys in the sport that gets it. With his experience streaming on Twitch, maybe one day we will see him try out commentating at a Twins game.
  8. When these guys were hired, there was all of this talk about “collaboration” for all decisions. Whelp, it’s hard to collaborate during tough times like this. Take Danielle Hunter for example. As a GM, how can you turn down a 2nd round pick from a team like Jacksonville if you have no plan to extend him? As a HC, how are you not pounding the table to keep Danielle Hunter no matter the cost? If he’s traded, the defense becomes a bottom feeder that can’t rush the QB at all.
  9. That would be great news! Whatever happens, I hope the broadcast is widely available to the largest audience it can reach.
  10. Yeah, the more things change down in Miami, the more they stay the same.
  11. Correct. Jeff Passan tweeted yesterday the owner’s plan was to hire someone above her - after she just built the first team to make the playoffs in a full season since 2003. Anyone in her position would tell the organization to F themselves on the way out of the door. She will be off to way better opportunities soon.
  12. I’m surprised not to read anything about adding another bat. This team needs at least 1, I would argue 2, middle of the order bats. And for me, acquiring those bats is a higher priority than throwing money at a Sonny Gray replacement.
  13. 1 first down in the 2nd half before the final drive to ice the game says everything. I know we always play awful at Soldier Field but my god. I truly don’t understand why Mattison is getting 95% of the touches. He is not a bell cow RB, and never was.
  14. Glad I went outside and walked my dog instead of watching the 2nd half.
  15. Finally they finish a drive with a TD. Blocked PAT, because of course.
  16. Captain Check Down Kirk reporting for duty
  17. Kirk’s favorite play after a huge gain… Hurry up and throw to Hockenson in the flat for 2 yards.
  18. We have hit the bottom of the barrel for announcing crews.
  19. Yeah I can’t take much more of this game. Just another turnover that won’t end up being Kirk Cousins’ fault.
  20. I’m absolutely bailing on watching the game next week. I may bail at halftime this game. The sun just came out.
  21. Because we are petrified of playing a RB without experience for some reason. Every time Chandler touches the ball he’s shot out of a cannon.
  22. The refs bailed us out of that comedy of errors. That was the most pathetic attempt at recovering a fumble I’ve seen.
  23. His wife had an incident in a Target parking lot where she waved for the other car to go, and the other driver insisted she should go instead. Long story short, they’re still insisting that the other one should go 28 hours later. And that’s why they need to explore other areas in the country.
