  1. Good calls so far.... We'll take a break and hear from one of our sponsors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8UV7SAhvG4
  2. I can honestly say the previous 4 years I checked out from the team by June or July at the latest. Sure I would go to a game or 2 if I obtained free tickets... This year I invested in mlb.tv streaming since I'm out of state and have watched more games this year than the last 4 combined.
  3. Really like what I see from Rosario. Hope he can keep it going to be a top of the order bat in the lineup. Still dreaming of a Rosario-Buxton-Hicks/(insert your favorite platoon name) OF going forward. It's an even number next year, so we can expect at least 16 wins from Hughes
  4. If anyone needs me, I'll be listening to Robert John "Sad Eyes" on a continuous loop in the dark.
  5. My picks are looking promising..... I'll take a size L please *Scouts honor I copy and pasted the original post. Twins Wins: 37.5 OVER Mauer's OPS: .815 UNDER Dozier HRs: 14.5 UNDER Sano HRs: 9.5 WAY OVER Hicks: .350 OBP OVER Sano OPS: .900 UNDER Hunter HR: 8.5 UNDER Perkins Saves: 22.5 UNDER Gibson ERA: 3.25 OVER Santana ERA: 3.50 UNDER Hughes ERA: 3.75 OVER Arcia PA: 150 UNDER Buxton PA: 150 OVER Trevor May Starts: 5.5 OVER Mike Pelfrey Starts: 5.5 UNDER Alex Meyer IP: 6.5 UNDER Jose Berrios IP: 15.5 OVER Kurt Suzuki OPS: .600 OVER RP acquired via free agency and trade: 1.5 UNDER Catchers acquired via trade: 0.5 UNDER Trevor Plouffe OPS: .775 OVER Brian Duensing ERA: 3.80 OVER Blaine Boyer ERA: 3.80 UNDER Casey Fien ERA: 3.80 OVER
  6. Wasn't he only hitting 88-92 on the gun when he was on the Twins?
  7. Toronto Maple Leafs: Crushing fans' hopes and dreams since 1967.
  8. Yep, my college roommate was a Toronto native. I'd consider him a likeable douche. Diehard leafs fan, and a Jays bandwagon fan. I think that's pretty common.
  9. I'm going out on a limb and say that their fans also enjoy Leafs hockey. So yes, incredibly douchey.
  10. Haha let's not get crazy thinking May is stretched out enough to go more than 1 inning
  11. Don't forget guys, the Draft Gem was our best option to start today.......
  12. Come on... really?
  13. Cc: Will Leitch. Hilarious. Clearly the guy looked at the stats sheet, saw decent ERA numbers from the bullpen, and thought I guess they're all doing well.
  14. Proof from any media outlet that this is for certain? If it is, what a mistake that will be. You shake Torii's hand at the end of the season, tell him thanks for transitioning the team out of the AL Central cellar, and MOVE ON.
  15. http://t1.livememe.com/ueo3iw_4.jpg
  16. Yep if the Twins can get a young MLB ready catcher with Plouffe as the feature piece, wouldn't hesitate for a second.
  17. I'm pretty confused at this point. If I wanted to hate watch TV I would turn it to Keeping up with the Kardashians, The Bachelor(ette), and anything on MTV. The Twins have been stinking up the place, and it's showing all over TD in our posts. Let the hate flow through us, and centralize our frustrations here. Vanimal from Austin, you're on Twins Whine Line.... First time caller, long time listener. My frustration with this team is growing by the day, mainly because I don't know who to put the blame on for these roster decisions all year. TR? The Pohlad's? Molitor? There were several options to improve the club through trades, internally, but the bare minimum has been done to do that this season. I'm lost on the vision, because they're certainly not acting like contenders, and they're still employing players who have no future on the team beyond 2015. I'll hang up and listen. Next caller please.....
  18. Nah.. pretty much the only place to hide his noodle arm.
  19. Wow. I wonder what made them make the decision right now? Could be a potential TR successor nonetheless.
  20. I don't know about y'all, but I am tired of reading the same quotes each year taking responsibility for the roster, and getting zero repercussion from it. I get it, GMs in every sport are paid to lie and deceive, but when are we all going to hit our breaking point with TR and finally call him out on his responsibility for the outcome of this roster?
  21. So the equipment manager doesn't have to sew on a new last name this late into the season.....
  22. I think you're downplaying the whole situation with Johan. The Twins were in no position to offer him the money he commanded in the open market. If they would have let him play out that season and let him walk in FA, the Metrodome would have been burned to the ground. The Twins were in a lose-lose situation, knowing the best SP in team history had one foot out the door. In a critical time in franchise history, TR, the savvy veteran GM decided to hand over the keys to a 1st time GM?
  23. No doubt. TR and Billy may have similar budgets to maintain, but TR has the HUGE advantage of recruiting people to play in one of the best ball parks in the MLB. Meanwhile Beane attempts to sell players on playing in a concrete ****-hole of a building.
  24. Not many.... Doug Melvin has been with the Brewers since 2002, mixed bag of success. Billy Beane with the A's since 1997. One playoff series victory against our favorite club.
  25. I understand the frustrations with May, I want him back in the rotation too... But at least now there appears to be a plan in place (after a month of sitting in no mans land) to use him as a 7-8th inning guy. Milone going down should only open up a window in the rotation for 2 starts, so I hope Duffey can show something in this small sample size.
