  1. thing is, we had one awesome month last year.we only had one other month over .500. If his leadership was responsible, did he take a break the other 5 months of the season? Leadership is needed of course, it obviously helps in many areas of work including team sports, but sequencing was the main cause of our record last year and I doubt having Torii here would make a huge difference in our record this year.
  2. Assuming that he's able to adjust to the majors as so many of our prospects lately haven't been able to.
  3. big picture stuff, not 5 innings stuff. they just keep pushing the walks are evil narrative.
  4. Nolasco doesn't walk a lot because they are too busy getting hits off him instead.
  5. announcers are being harsh with Dozier. didn't know they knew how to do that.
  6. From Dave Cameron's chat on Wednesday: 'Q: Isn’t a trade for Trout impossible to be a reality? A team would have to sacrifice so much to get Mike Trout, it would just leave them in a similar situation the Angels are currently in right? A: Nope, that’s a myth. There are a good number of teams that could trade for Trout without destroying their MLB talent pool.'
  7. or Ryan since he's been back, actually..
  8. Just keep looking to the prospects, the promised land is just over the horizon...
  9. well, your sarcasm aside, it's not just the results of his PAs that are the problem, it's how he looked during them, which would be totally lost. I'm going to stop now since it's apparent by your tone with me and others you can't have a conversation about this topic without putting snark into your comments.
  10. well, he's certainly not ready for 2016, since it's 2016 now. Offensively, he's not even close, which puts into question 2017 as well. So not sure what makes it odd.
  11. I know a lot of Twins fans who had serious concerning about drafting him for this exact reason. In any event, seems some aren't concerned at all about his time in the majors so far. I am, and I never had the really high expectations a lot of people had. I figured an at best ceiling of Eric Davis, but have my doubts he'll come close to that. Might end up like a Peter Bourjos type.
  12. or 2016...and very likely 2017.
  13. Except that a lot of what is being said by posters now about what has happened are about things they expressed concerns/doubts about prior to the season even starting. A lot of the things going wrong was easily predictable and was predicted by many prior to season start. This idea that every comment is just about knowing things in hindsight is not true at all.
  14. usually hard to tell the difference between him bunting and him swinging away.
  15. He bought into the idea that the ball was in the air. He still sees no flaw in that. It's the ball's fault it was on the ground
  16. I HATE losing to the White Sox more than any other team. HATE IT! Getting humiliated by them (and our own play) makes it even worse.
  17. do some research that requires more than 10 seconds?
  18. how dare he not get on base at least once! Loser! :-)
  19. The young Garcia used to play RF, but it hurt their defense, so they moved him to DH for a better fielding OF?
  20. did I hear that right? did activity just now start in the Twins bullpen?
  21. here comes the hook. edit: Oooooorrrrr not.
  22. If he was a rookie, he would have been pulled innings ago. good thing he has such a strong history of quality pitching for the Twins.
