  1. And both are in.......as they should be. Congratulations to two of the greatest Twins.
  2. At least he will keep the fans from dozing off in the outfield bleachers while he's on the mound....assuming the need to open the outfield bleachers this year of course.
  3. Nice job on the post. One of the best trades in Twins history, landing Jim Perry. Vic Power was also a great trade acquisition, coming with Dick Stigman in exchange for Pedro Ramos.
  4. You are correct that both the Yankees & Mets prospects are constantly overvalued, however Mike is correct that the Yankees do have 3 highly valued minor leaguers at this time in Volpe, Peraza and Dominguez.
  5. Both Tony and Kitty have been criminally underappreciated by the baseball community. Along with Rod and Harmon, they were great players on some of the Twins' very best teams. Territorial bias at it's worst...
  6. I guess we can always stretch Turtle out....
  7. Always thought Lewis and Martin were at their best together. Glad to hear they reconciled...
  8. They have updated player values minutes to hours after trades to reflect the large discrepancies in returns. Check the changes in the Yankee prospects sent to Texas for Gallo among others. Fun site to provoke thought but not remotely close.
  9. Much like BTV, their ratings magically change after the trade.
  10. It will be interesting to see the development paths of Martin, Groshans and Martinez. Hope we identified the best one.
  11. Actually SWR was doing extremely well, especially for a 20 year old in AA until his last 4 starts.
  12. Joe Ryan in the Olympics - 6-5-1-1-0-5. Lone run surrendered was a dinger to old friend Danny Valencia.
  13. Lux pretty much raked his whole minor league career. Don't know that I'd relegate a 23 year old to the scrap heap after 400 ab's. At any rate, I would be extremely surprised were he available with Seager scheduled for free agency this winter.
  14. You may steer clear of placing a wager on high expectations regarding this front office, lest ye be sitting on your burro in said burrow...
  15. Hassell, Campusano, Gore, Lange, Abrams, Weathers, Marcano.....there are matches that could be found.
  16. Supposedly San Diego was involved in the Cruz sweepstakes. We'll most likely never know but I am curious as to what their offer may have been. Toronto, Tampa Bay, San Diego and the Dodgers have the most appealing systems.
  17. I suppose he's advancing the market on Minnesota fans pain threshold.
  18. Balazovic - now that's a yellow hammer.
