    Arcia will make it over Vargas mainly due to options. I'm not totally ready to give up on him, but he is not a MLB outfielder. If Arcia is on the roster, who is our 4th outfielder ala Robinson? Or do we do the Escobar/Nunez thing? Wish we had Zobrist now.

    I don't think you can take any team too seriously until June, much like you can't take a players performance too seriously until then. The number one factor on how the season will play out is injuries as it always is.

    This board confuses me sometimes. Lots of posters "screaming" to bring up the kids. Yet at the same time, numerous complaints about Arcia, Santana, and Gibson. You can't have it both ways.

    I think all it really means is they like versatility and are trying to give themselves options. I don't read anything more into it.

    Send May down to the minors even if you think he's the #5 guy. The #5 guy likely won't pitch much the first few weeks anyway.

    TJ Oakes has looked real good since he stepped foot on campus, having your pitching coach as your father must be an interesting dynamic.
