  1. Astro's doing their best Twins impression; bases loaded, nobody out = 0 runs!!
  2. How did winning 100 games turn out for Los Angeles and Baltimore (and maybe Atlanta)? Other than Abreu and Alvarez (7 HR, 14 RBI), Twins pitching basically shut down the rest Houston offense (3 HR, 6 RBI). The offense was bad, but maybe the team builds on experience and a successful playoff run can be sustained for many years going forward.
  3. Very good arguments and astute insights into personal opinions of the obstruction rule. However, I still feel had Rocco challenged, or even went out to just talk to the umpire about the Lewis call, that it may have led to the umpire crew being more aware (much like Maldonado complaining about his pitchers not getting high strikes) and perhaps led to a call for Correa. Perhaps not. The team still won, but sometimes just putting a bug in the umps ear, or making them aware you are willing to challenge, can do big things. We will see going forward.
  4. Just re-watched this play on mlb.com game recap. Lewis had to swing way out to his right to avoid Maldonado standing in the baseline. I think if the game was closer Baldelli may have used a challenge there.
  5. But it's funny when A-Roid calls him out!!
  6. I think Castro agrees with Tucker there.....
  7. According to Baseball Savant it was a called strike 3. But shows the pitch as out of the zone, high
  8. The pitch to Polanco was a strike... and not just because the HP umpire said so.
  9. Lewis looks really good running the bases. Off day tomorrow, maybe he plays the field Tuesday?
  10. 6 IP 88 pitches, 6, 7 & 8 coming up in the 7th, does he get sent back out there? I say yes, but the BP is ready, not getting loose.
  11. He must have paid attention in the pitcher/catcher meeting today....
  12. Had similar thought after Lopez got out of the 5th...
  13. No he looked p****d that he got put into a run-down
  14. Lewis looked pretty good going from first to third on that hit, might be getting close to returning to 3B
  15. Can't complain about the strike zone after the 2 calls to Lewis....
  16. Brantley looking off-speed and the Twins pitched right into it. Nice recovery by Lopez to get McCormick....
