I know they K'd Naylor on that 1-2 pitch, but if I'm managing there's a 100 percent chance I throw a pitchout. 99 percent chance Ramirez is running there. Maybe higher. Almost a free out if you pitch out. -
This is awful. 37 yo Carlos Carrasco will be among the 10 worst starting pitchers they face this season.

Yes. 100 percent Yes. The Twins obvious, glaring need this winter was starting pitching. They even said it. They made one trade, to a team that could return a starter. Without a starter as the return, they don't make that trade. The fact Falvine blinked and got hosed by a Seattle GM that had equally obvious needs and wants doesn't change what Falvine's goal was for the trade. He wasn't out to add an A ball outfielder years from helping at best. And as Schmoeman5 so brilliantly points out above, I doubt Falvine makes the same trade today.

Ignoring the other obvious issues with your post, neither of these "facts" are actually facts. If you're going to lecture others on "evidence" and "facts" at least use some yourself.

Stop repeating this nonsense. 1. Desclafani was the target of the Polanco trade. 2. The Twins didn't actually save money trading Polanco. Between Desclafani, Topa, and the two players they signed with the "savings" they ended up with a higher payroll.

Have I mentioned how irritating it is to see opposing managers manipulate Rocco into a stupid Manny Margot PH EVERY FRIGGING GAME??!?! The Ks are frustrating. The lack of anyone on this team being an RBI guy. Etc etc. But nobody is TRYING to K. Rocco, on the other hand, is doing this intentionally. That's just maddening. He lost me last year, and he just solidifies my opinion every day.

We pinch hit for Wallner but not Vazquez against their closer down 2. Makes sense to me!

Can someone from TD with access to Rocco PLEASE ask him why he keeps pinch hitting for his LH hitters? Ask him if he even notices what happens. Ask him if he thinks Margot against a late inning RHer is really worth losing Wallner or Julien.
