  1. I haven't watched Gameday in a while. (Refuse to pretend that I'm going to pay the fruit monopoly.) I know that the blue and red sections of the strike zone reflect the batter's strong and weak areas, but which is which? Is blue good for the batter or good for the pitcher?
  2. Maybe that says at least as much about relying on OPS as it does about our comments and frustrations.
  3. Not blaming him. Blaming the Twins for thinking that he could stay healthy as a DH.
  4. Maybe Buxton should play CF and at least help the team as much as he can before the inevitable (and not avoided) injury? It's a little pathetic to me all that he does is swing the bat 4 times a game and he *still* can't stay healthy.
  5. What would Jack Morris have done if Rocco had been his manager? Fist-fight on the mound maybe? He probably gets pulled in the 6th inning of Game 7, 1991.
  6. This team is really, really good at turning W into L.
  7. My morning started with elation! The football team I follow ended it's season with a win and qualified for a European competition next year for the first time in 13 years. Then the Twins happened. Pathetic performance with all the spirit of a spreadsheet!
  8. Exactly this! Give me a reason to watch! Give me a reason to care, other than having been born in Minnesota!
  9. Everyone not named Lopez has pitched well for the Twins today. Unfortunately ...
  10. Managed to get 10 strikeouts for the 6th(?) straight game.
  11. Two guys in the lineup with high salaries: Gallo and Buxton are 0-7 with 4 Ks. Three home-grown rookies: Julien, Kirilloff, and Wallner are 7-10 with 1 K. Could we please see more the kids?
  12. Unfortunately. Buxton has trouble beating out fly balls and strikeouts, which is mostly what he hits.
  13. I agree. Time to see what the kids can do. The "grown ups" aren't getting it done.
  14. Probably good he doesn't managed the Tigers.
  15. Is the "Brandon Belt" a collection of red states?
  16. That lowers the probability of a three-run homer.
  17. I guess that's how you have a barely .500 record with everyone having an .800 OPS.
  18. At about 200,000 dollars a day, it would be hard to get it in cash.
