  12. WOW to the ending. Congrats to Arraez on another great game. I loved when Kaat said that Carew had mentioned that Arraez is trying to be Carew. We should be that lucky. WOW again to the ending. This team is now only two homeruns behind the 1964 Twins team and 6 behind the all-time leading 1963 Twins team.
  13. May I be excused now? It's almost dinner time here in Maine.

  18. The Giants were playing in Philadelphia so no time zones were crossed getting to Miami. And being asked to protect a three run lead against a very bad team is not a high leverage situation. It didn't work but that's why teams play the games.
  19. I'll match "first game" stories with you. A month ago, I made my debut in the Senior League in Portland Maine (and my first game since 2001). In my first at bat, I dribbled the ball towards third. I put my head down and "sprinted" towards first base. After what seemed like 30 seconds, I noticed that I was only about 10 feet from home plate. So I downshifted and headed to first. After another 10 feet, I felt my left knee scream "no mas" and I hopped the rest of the way on one leg. No structural damage to the knee but strained ligaments that ended my season. Oh well, there's always next year.
  20. When he is done with his rehab assignment, add Graterol to the 25-man roster and use him as the first guy out of the bullpen for the rest of the season. If he shows he can handle it, the bullpen is now ready for the playoffs.

  23. Probably not, but the asking price may be proportionately as asinine. A I said, we are not in the front office so we don't know.
  24. You stand by them because there is a possibility that every trade discussed began with "We want either Buxton or Kepler and either Lewis or Kirilloff plus Graterol for" (insert whatever name you want). None of us knows what the front office is doing to try to improve this team. But, IMHO, it seems like a lot of people are assuming they are doing nothing.
