  2. I appreciate your comment but I have to credit the consistency to my computer. Once I got the tables set up and the formulas in place, all I have to do is remember to get out of bed each morning and update the spreadsheet (although, at my age, that is a challenge).
  3. I just offered a hypothesis about Rortvordt's lack of catching time. I didn't know if Jeffers had a good game or not. Sorry if I offended anyone.

  6. Sorry but I disagree. A pre-game routine is called that for a reason and it's valid to question whether a change in the routine impacted the performance.
  7. Yesterday was Saturday, June 8 and it was the 63rd game of the year. The Twins are now 39% of the way through the season and have hit 121 home runs. Out of 59 years, the current team ranks 34th on the all-time list of Twins' home runs in one season and are on a pace to hit 311 home runs this season.
  8. In the 1980's, a group of us formed a lunch time strato league at work. I even made a cardboard Fenway Park to throw the dice in (forgive the dangling participle). Great way to waste company time and resources.
  9. Maybe the Twins will bring up Balazovic to showcase him as trade material? A few innings of effective 100 MPH fastballs might bring a top reliever to Minnesota. Although, now that I've typed that, just bring him up as a reliever.
  10. Yesterday was Friday, June 7 and it was the 62nd game of the year. The Twins are now 38% of the way through the season and have hit 120 home runs. Out of 59 years, the current team ranks 37th on the all-time list of Twins' home runs in one season and are on a pace to hit 314 home runs this season.
  11. Absolutely. People seem to forget that there are two sides in a FA acquisition. And if one side prefers deep dish pizza rather than pierogies, the acquisition doesn't happen.

  18. The best thing that season was the MLB strike that shortened the season to only 110 games.
  19. I've been a Minnesota fan since I saw Elgin Baylor play in his rookie season, so I definitely have a true Minnesota sports fan mentality. Every since I've started tracking and posting the Twins home runs for the season, they haven't hit a single one. I realize it's only been one game, but I'm afraid I've cursed them. Oh well, here's today's update. Yesterday was Thursday, May 30 and it was the 55th game of the year. The Twins are now 34% of the way through the season. Out of 59 years, the current team ranks 48th on the all-time list of Twins' home runs in one season with a total of 106.
  20. Yesterday was Tuesday, May 28 and it was the 54th game of the year. The Twins are now 33% of the way through the season. Out of 59 years, the current team ranks 48th on the all-time list of Twins' home runs in one season. I've got this in an Excel spreadsheet that I'm going to try to update and post in the game recap each day. If you see any errors, let me know. I lot of the spreadsheet is formula driven (and also the written summary) so an error may pop up.
  21. Jimmy Kimmel is a late show host. Maybe you're thinking of Craig Kimbrel?
