    No one knows what the conversations were between Buxton and the front office. But to just firmly say he would have waived his NTC to play for a contender is fantasy and has no basis for it. I take him at his word and the reason he doesn't want to move. It's important to play on one team, he saw the impact of Joe Mauer and he has mentioned that. So until he states something else or there is an actual trade announced, everything is just guessing.

    Agree on Ross over Kreidler, either way we have to upgrade the utility for next year. I think Wallner is done with this organization and it is probably for the best for both side. It just hasn't clicked here and I don't think they have much interest in him. I personally hope he can have success but it will be somewhere else. I want the 13 most talented position players on the team next year. I don't care what of the plate they hit from. What position they play should be the only consideration. If there is somebody better GG or Martin I want them up here. This RH outfield obsession over how many years has not led to success, let's find talent.

    You are forgetting they had Topa and Garcia and took longer than they should have moved off of them. And they kept Eric Orze around because he had pitched in the majors and let him appear in 36 games. They do prefer fringe veterans over the younger players, that has been shown time and again.

    You say he is clearly injured, has a doctor ruled him out. Yes he is less than 100%, who knows what percentage he is. In this case as it has been pointed out, they are acting no differently than they have in the past with Buxton or any other player in this situation. You can't just put a player on the IL if the doctors are clearing him to play, you have to work with him if he thinks he can play, especially when it is your franchise player. He has shown in the last few days that he can play, Monday night was the most recent example. Now I would have the conversation with him and convince him he is not helping the team. Last night was the final straw for me, if he can't run a ball down in the gap and is going to be out x number of days even if it is less than the length of an IL stint, he needs to go on the IL. Because he is not helping the team. But you are going to need his buy in.

    They have six pitchers 30 or older, Funderburk has been up and down for a few years and is 29, And one of our youngest starters is Bradley at 25, who is in his third, so is experienced. And another starter will be back soon who is 30 probably replacing a younger starter. I would not consider this staff that young.

    Which was to be expected. I just hope they don't drag out thru the weekend hoping treatment will work. Make a decision and move forward.

    What isn't mentioned is that Falvey was given the additional responsibilities of the business side in addition to the baseball in 2025. This is what Tom P, wanted to split back into two roles again the same as it was prior to Dave St. Peter stepping down. My understanding this is how most baseball teams operate. Falvey wanted to continue to do both, I would not call that micro management, but a smart division of responsibilities. I always assumed when Falvey was given those additional duties that it was an interim until a new owner came into place as the team was for sale at the time. But I don't know what his understanding was, so if he left because of broken promises, we won't know that. But the splitting of the two positions makes sense.

    Yes he does and I have never disputed. I have been saying for months that I wanted a Senior Advisor brought in until he gets rid of Zoll. The timing of Falvey's leaving did make it difficult to make any major changes but that is why a Senior Advisor would have been a good idea. But the idea that Tom P. is saying who to put on the IL or that he wants them to trade for Tommy Nance is ludicrous. He gives direction and JZ identifies how to carry to carry out that direction and what moves and players will help him meet the objectives given to him.

    Earning the trust of the fans and employees is his job, not making personnel decisions. When has he sat on a ballfield and evaluated a player, So he is giving direction to his employees to do that, the problem is he has incompetent employees that can't carry out his directive in a meaningful way to win back the fans.

    Do you have proof that Tom is giving the ok on the transactions. If that is your opinion, that is fine, but you appear to be stating it as fact.

    You took the answer out of context, here is the whole answer. And if he doesn't trust Zoll which he shouldn't, Tom is the not answer. In sports most team owners especially the successful ones are hands off, they hire competent personnel to run the operations staff. This was the typical way the Pohlads until Joe was named Executive owner and they were primarily successful. We don't know what Tom's role is, he stated he wanted to learn the business side which was Dave St. Peter's role when he first took over. Everyone is assuming he is making personnel decisions and I don't believe he is, I am not sure even he is that dumb, but who knows. He should have brought in a Senior Advisor and a lot of these questions wouldn't be out there.

    You still are assuming Tom is making personnel decisions, it would be good to have proof. And if he doesn't trust Zoll which he shouldn't, Tom is the not answer.

    We need talent and stop worrying about what side of the plate they stand on.

    I guess we will be the Mets 2.0 if Tom is making decisions on players, even one like Buxton. If he is overriding the doctors or his staff in him being on the IL then this team has no chance. If you want to speculate that he has input you can, but no one knows for sure, But I really hope he isn't because he has no idea of how to build a roster.

    No one touched the ball, you can't assume a catch from a scoring standpoint. There is no scorer in baseball that would have scored that as an error.

    Because CEO's don't make day to day decisions, they hire management to do that. So the criticism of Pohlad is he is allowing Zoll to make these decisions even though he is in over his head. But there are plenty of comments in various posts that keep saying Pohlad is making this decision or that on player personnel. It's not defending him, it's point out who is making these decisions. And unless it is budget related, he needs to let the people he hired do their job or in this case bring in someone more competent than JZ.

    If Kreidler makes the play, we are out of the inning with no runs. Keaschall was tentative on that fly ball and caught in between. Yes the catch needed to be made but this is the learning curve you have with him, he is going to run down some balls but there are going to be others that won't be caught. But it wouldn't have matter if Kreidler makes the play, he is in there for defense.

    I have been defending Buxton on here all week, but it is time for him to sit until he is 100%. It is great that he wants to be out there for his team, but if you can't run down a ball in the gap without coming up lame and have to leave the game early, it is time. My fear is the Twins will wait a few days to see if it calms down with treatment and we will be playing the White Sox down 2 players. The other fear is if they do put him on the IL, I truly think they will bring up Gray. This front office has shown no indications of taking bold action, they will take the safe half measures they have been doing all year long. And I hope I am wrong,

    If you swing at the pitch and don't make contact with the bat it is a strike even if it hits you. The swing takes priority over the hit by pitch.

    Jenkins is a better CF than Kreidler, that Kriedler is the best option on the 26 man rosters shows our shallow our depth is. He is league average out there. I think Jackson is here to stay, for whatever unknown reason they feel there is too much risk playing two catchers without another one on the bench.
