  1. He has already said he wants to be here, so my guess is all those factors were considered. This is just beating a dead horse until there is new reporting saying something different.
  2. You can't trade him unless he approves and he has said he won't.
  3. If they haven't announced a move by now, one won't be happening. And since they are on the west coast, I doubt they will fly anyone out there for two games unless there is an injury. My guess there will be no moves until next Tuesday. They are basically waving the white flag on the season even though they won't admit it.
  4. If Buxton is not on the IL, he is going to be in the lineup. If they aren't going to take AB's from Larnach for Jenkins they sure won't do it to Buxton. He is obviously not 100% and the hip injury is not going to be completely healed until the offseason with rest. He is very clearly managing how he plays so as to not aggravate it further. If he was hitting better, we would probably have more patience with not taking the extra base or the double play balls. They need to decide can he play with the hip injury as it is, but Buxton has to buy in. As frustrated as we are with his injuries he is still the face of the franchise and they are not going to force something on him that he is not in agreement with, whether we agree with that or not. He is going to be here for two more years unless something drastic changes. I am going to enjoy the time he is on the field and hope he can play more games. But this is one reason you really need Jenkins up here because then you have a viable plan if Buxton gets injured again next year.
  5. When Jenkins comes up, it can't be a platoon, put him in the lineup and let him go.
  6. He could just as easily be a non-tender candidate in the offseason. I am not sure if you sign him to the numbers being thrown around that there would be as much interest for him. It might be best to go the Rosario route and non-tender if you determine he is not part of the 27 team.
  7. It was a 7 run game, typical to give a bench player an at bat in that situation. And remember he can not be traded so we need to accept that fact because he is here until his contract is up unless he changes his mind.
  8. You can't just put someone on the IL, there has to be a verifiable injury, we all know that. And they are not going to sit him, he is the most talented player on the team. And yes it stinks about the injuries he has had. But he is going to be the focal point of this team until either Jenkins comes up and is able to have the mantle passed to him if he becomes the player they hope or they sign another superstar free agent.
  9. He's picking his spots of when to turn it on just like the other night on the diving catch.
  10. Is he on the IL, no he is not, so he is playing. He is dinged up and has to manage the hip issue but it obviously is not injured enough to be on the IL regardless of what we may think or want.
  11. I get that even though I don't like the other options. My main point if they are not going to sit Larnach for ERod or Jenkins they sure aren't going to sit him for Roden.
  12. Roden should be on the bench, we have better options that they refuse to utilize. So at this point it will be Larnach in LF. Buxton isn't going anywhere as long as he is healthy.
  13. They don't even trust Jackson to pinch hit in a 7 run game. He hasn't had a plate appearance in almost 3 weeks. Someone please objectively explain why he is even on the roster and the corporate speak Shelton tried to sell us on.
  14. He is the 8th guy in the bullpen who has had some moments. Who else is there to put in there, there is no one performing in St. Paul. Adams is at the bottom of list of worries for the Twins.
  15. We have to get the offense going, it is easier pitching with a comfortable lead rather than always having to be on the edge.
  16. Yeah, Morris had no help from the defense in his inning.
  17. They use Adams, I am not even sure if Jackson is in the dugout since we haven't seen in a few weeks.
  18. I thought I had turned to the Little League World Series by accident.
  19. The runs were all earned, the error had no impact on any of the runs.
  20. Caratini has not looked good lately. But honestly how can you play Jackson at this point when he hasn't been behind the plate for over a month. You have to ride it out with him, but ride Jeffers harder. Jeffers needs to be playing 5 days a week.
  21. How do you walk it off when you are the visiting team.
  22. It didn't hurt, it's the walks that are hurting.
