  1. He is in the lineup everyday so it is hard to argue that he's not healthy.
  2. If he is active, he is playing, there is no other option for someone like Buxton. If he says he can play and is not injured, they aren't going to put him on the IL. There is a difference between being dinged up and injured. But they aren't going to sit him, he is our best player and it stinks that he may not be 100% right now but he is going to be in the lineup every day no matter what we say. He has earned that right.
  3. And is second on the team in RBI's hitting typically hitting in the lower part of the lineup. I think he is a good building block moving forward.
  4. The hip is not going to be 100% until he can rest it in the offseason, I don't think they have hidden that fact. He is going to pick his spots when to turn it on, just like the other night when he made the diving catch. I do wish he would picked that as another spot but he didn't.
  5. I know you are out there but they are doing what they have been doing all year. They have stretches where they put it together and then they have these stretches where they play poorly. San Diego is a nice city but they have been flying into cities a day early all year long when there is an off day and there are things to do in all the major league cities. So I am not sure how this would be any different.
  6. That I do not know and I think it should happen.
  7. I do find it telling, that they don't bring in Roden for defense for Larnach in the later innings. It would be nice to have an outfielder who can play defense up here.
  8. Then looks at strike 3, I am not sure what he brings to the team any more. He almost makes Larnach look graceful in the field in comparison to Roden.
  9. If Buxton is on the active roster, he is going to play. I would prefer to have him hitting 5th or 6th right now but there is no way he is hitting lower than that. That is the reality of major league baseball with your star player, which Buxton is despite his injury history.
  10. Veterans have the option to rehab or not and many unfortunately choose not to.
  11. They have been doing this all series, trying to ambush the pitcher, but you have to make better contact if you are going to this.
  12. Ober has picked up on the hold them scoreless in the first inning trend, good job.
  13. Gray's bat and glove keep him out of the major leagues. And Jenkins has been crushing the ball and hitting everything not just home runs, but you only want to see what you want to see.
  14. One is a AAAA player who considered retiring before spring training because even he knew his talent limitations vs. a #5 overall draft pick who is a potential cornerstone player. We all know you think you can win championships with fringe and AAAA type players filling the roster but that is not reality.
  15. Jenkins with another multi homer game, his third in the last two weeks. I know the Twins want to ride with the players that have been there all season, but Jenkins is not making it easy for them.
  16. How do you know Buxton is hurt? Did you see his sprint around the bases the other night, didn't look disengaged to me. Yes he has to start hitting but we are a better team with him.
  17. I think it is more the fans who think it will be a cakewalk in Sacramento. And with the bad juju, they need to overcome that and put their foot on the gas and not let up.
  18. My understanding is he didn't want to move Abreu, but if that is the reason I am not sure.
  19. I have to admit, I don't want ownership making decisions on personnel unless it is budget related. They typically have no baseball knowledge or how to evaluate players. I don't necessarily agree with what the Astros owner did. If he doesn't trust his baseball staff then he should probably bring in new people which is what I hope Tom P. does.
  20. You are saying this from your couch after the play, during the play you have a teammate telling you to throw to third, regardless of your pre pitch prep, you are probably going to where your teammate tells there is a play.
  21. I was a little surprised after that vetoed trade became public that they didn't trade him for anything they could get. You have to wonder if it's not having an impact on him. It's one thing to hear your name in rumors but to actually hear a trade was agreed to, I am not sure what impact that has had on him.
