    Nine games below .500 isn't a good record. And when we get a competent GM, I will be more inclined to let them do their job. I am at the game tonight and the lineup is not very inspiring. I as a fan will criticize when I feel it is warranted. It might be a good idea to stay away from the boards.

    This organization really has no plan, I just don't understand how Zoll can keep his job. You know what you have in Kreidler, why not give Ross a shot to see if there is something there. No one knows yet if he can hit up here or not., maybe he needs a chance like everyone said Clemens needed last year. Why play Caratini at first, they didn't want him in the lineup for the last month but now you play at 1B. We are not making the playoffs and we aren't trying to learn anything for next year. And people really think this front office will commit to a rebuild, look at tonight's lineup and try to keep that fantasy alive.

    You don't make a 23 year old with his athleticism a full time DH. Let stay in one position and get comfortable for at least a year and see if he can become at least near average defensively.

    Last year at the deadline we traded 6 players on expiring contracts plus Stewart. Correa was a salary dump and the other two were Duran and Jax which Falvey had already shown he likes to trade relievers well before free agency. Falvey never valued the bullpen highly. How is this a start of a rebuild, it was just a continuation of the same strategy they had been following every year. And then they tendered Larnach, which a rebuilding team would not have done. Falvey never valued the prospects, he called up prospects when he had to. He trusted players with experience regardless of talent level. So to say they were starting a rebuild, I find it hard to believe regardless of anything said, history would say it wasn't happening.

    What does the agent have to do with it, Buxton makes the call himself. And in this situation he is probably communicating directly with the team and his agent. And again at least publicly he has stated he wants to be here. So I don't understand how you think an agent is going to override Buxton's decision.

    You asked why Buxton gets to decide, because he has earned that under the rules, being with the same team for 5 years and being in the major leagues for 10 years. So he has earned this whether anyone agrees or not. And I don't believe the team is going to push the issue, they have made it clear that he is still the face of the franchise and want him here. So to keep banging the drum of trading him is futile.

    Jackson is going to be 31 before next season with a career batting average of .176, he is not the answer to our catching issues. At this point it doesn't matter who is behind the plate, because the only who should be the starter next year probably won't be back.

    How do you suggest they move on. The latest he has said is he wants to be here, there is where we know he is at currently. Do you suggest they release him and eat the last two years of his contract, because that currently is the only way "to move on".

    There is only one stat I am worried about and that is wins and losses. I am not criticizing Clemens, I am critical of the role the Twins have put him in. He is not a middle of the order every day player. And if he is our MVP we may as well get used to 70 to 80 wins every year. We need to raise the talent level so that he is playing 4 or 5 times a week and batting further down in the order. I would love to see him pinch hit later in the game, he has a chance to do damage unlike the players we have been running out there the last few years. That is what will help the Twins more games. And just because he can play multiple positions doesn't make him a good defender. His best position is 2B because his arm is average and not that accurate. He couldn't scoop balls at 1B, that is the reality.

    There is only one person who knows the answer to this question and that is Buxton. He has publicly said he wants to be here. I would assume he has looked at all the factors involved and made this decision. Yes it could change but my guess is we won't know until a trade would be announced. But as of today I am going to enjoy watching him play when he is on the field the next two years. For you to say someone is wrong on something like this without facts is kind of arrogant.

    Audra reported last night that Buxton told her that the doctors have said he should be ready for spring training.

    He did let 25 of 26 runners steal from May thru July I believe it was. So that is above average defense.
