History says he will re-sign Bell. I don't disagree with you about Wallner but if Zoll is in charge Larnach is very likely to be back as well. They already signaled their intentions the last month when they kept playing Larnach and didn't call up ERod because they couldn't find at bats for him. This front office still favors the average or less veteran vs. young players. If Zoll stays, we will have pretty much the same roster with both Ober and Kremer in the rotation. And we will see more blunders like Kreidler made yesterday with no hope for the future.

Based on results over 10 years, no he did not.
  3. HarmonK03
Shelty will send out Jackson for him, need the experienced guy.
  4. HarmonK03
Sure glad we have these AAAA types on the roster for experience because you can't trust young guys.
  5. HarmonK03
    Nice outing by Adams.
  6. HarmonK03
Two wasted roster spots so Kreidler has to hit
  7. HarmonK03
    Jenkins to pinch run?
  8. HarmonK03
Why did they not put Kreidler at 3B for Lee rather than musical chairs in the infield. I thought he was our utility guy and he can't play third.
  9. HarmonK03
They know a lot more about Martin than Jenkins. This needs to be about Jenkins development and turning him into a platoon player is not going to help.
  10. HarmonK03
So they have already decided to platoon Jenkins, this front office and manager need to go, don't wait until the end of the season.

If this was a reload season, you don't trot out Kreidler and Gray at SS, you don't hang onto a 3rd catcher for a month and not play him. Clemens is not hitting in the middle of the order every day. This team did the same thing they have been doing for the last six years, bring in a couple of league average free agents, sign some AAAA players and expect them to contribute. And then hope everything comes together in a weak division. And once again it didn't work out.

I hope he's already been searching for a new GM so they don't have to wait until after the lockout to do anything.
  13. HarmonK03
    And Zoll
  14. HarmonK03
The Twins way is that younger players have too much risk to play them until you are forced to. Remember they couldn't find at bats for ERod.
  15. HarmonK03
Memo to Shelty, don't sit ERod tomorrow night.
  16. HarmonK03
If I recall correctly, the base was already stolen by the time Jeffers caught the pitch.
  17. HarmonK03
The only defense I will give them is our pitchers don't hold runners on. The analytic value of a stolen base is low so the Twins as a team have not in the recent past focused on holding runners on. The catchers do need some help from the pitchers.
  18. HarmonK03
He seems fairly grounded, so I am hoping he is taking his failures and learning from them, it appears he is.
  19. HarmonK03
You are correct on the path chosen but some players can make the adjustment quicker, we don't know yet about Jenkins. I still think giving him the rest of the year and see how he looks in spring training or even a month into the season and if he is struggling more time in St. Paul would be warranted. As others have said, he has always been a slow starter at each level, so is it that or is too soon. I did like his at bats last night and he doesn't seem to be taking his struggles at the plate into the field.

Great AB from ERod, not good getting picked off. But at least he isn't letting facing a tough leftie ruin him.
  21. HarmonK03
Why didn't Caratini make an effort to run to first.
  22. HarmonK03
I am glad KC is back, I was at the game on Saturday and it did not look good live. I was really thinking he might be done for the year, so good to have him back.
  23. HarmonK03
Take a look at my comments, how many downvotes do I have other than yours.
  24. HarmonK03
I will stay logged on, thank you for the advice.
  25. HarmonK03
I am rather neutral on Jackson, at best he is our back up next year. But I don't understand why not giving him at least a couple of games.
