30 years ago. Could it happen again

T he only bunt I would have done is with Mauer on a squeeze against Chapman. Mauer hasnt come close against him.
  3. OldTimeTwinkie
Gibson has gone from breezing through the first 4 innings then not making through the 5th to just the opposite. Early struggle then shut down after that. Go figure.

Lineup construction? Your designated hitter is batting 9th and just got called up from the minors batting .260. Are we serious about trying to get in the playoffs or what.

I am giving my MVP vote to our new hitting coach. The light bulbs have been turned on by him.
  6. OldTimeTwinkie
Here's my vote for Gardy to be in Twins hall of fame!
  7. OldTimeTwinkie
Why doesn't Gibson use a windup?

Question is will this front office allow this team to play out the season to try and get a wild card or trade off for another "future" team. As a fan who just watched 6 years of lousy baseball that was a slap in the face to the team and fans for a return of marginal potential. Too bad these new Execs didn't have to watch the last six years.

Our great pitching evaluators trade 2 solid major leaguers for low level low ceiling pitchers and take the remaining fight out of this team. But wait till next year and the year after......let alone that Granite is on this team.

    Granite, Mr double play
  11. OldTimeTwinkie
Trade Roberts for Molitor and throw in Presley.
  12. OldTimeTwinkie
Our bench is pathetic. We have 4 utility players in the game now. When is Buxton coming back?
  13. OldTimeTwinkie
    This is ridiculous
  14. OldTimeTwinkie
Illegal substitution. We need more utility players on our bench.
  15. OldTimeTwinkie
Granite reminds me of those outfielders we kept trying 5 years ago. Didn't realize he was that small.
  16. OldTimeTwinkie
Granite batting second? Escober not at short. Polanco is Molly's Santana at short.
  17. OldTimeTwinkie
Gibson is still a very valuable asset for our bullpen. Cleveland has a pitcher that is much the same in Zach McAllister who they converted to the bullpen with success. Our GM should know this.
  18. OldTimeTwinkie
Gardy gets to manage again!!! AZ manager got tossed. Good for him!
  19. OldTimeTwinkie
It's bush league to keep running Geminez out there. Put a major league bullpen out there if you are going to charge $12 for a beer.
  20. OldTimeTwinkie
Brandon Mckay Louisville pitcher who Twins are looking at for #1 Pick Is pitching on ESPN2 right now.
  21. OldTimeTwinkie
Why isn't Tyler Jay able to help this team? A top 5 pick, college reliever?
  22. OldTimeTwinkie
Would rather have seen Vargas pitch
  23. OldTimeTwinkie
Wonder what Twins would have done with first pick? Correa or Buxton
  24. OldTimeTwinkie
Screw you Neil Allen is basically what Santiago did by going back to the wind up after the home run . Minor league move going from the stretch and drawing a huge arrow on the mound. This is the second time Twins have tried to change Santiago.
  25. OldTimeTwinkie
Plouffe 4 hrs 9 rbi's at third would have looked nice with Sano DH and first base where he belongs.
