  1. Is Perkins velocity down? Could he be experiencing a "dead arm" or his velocity normal?
  2. You've seen with your own eyes two players perform in the majors so far. Evaluate for me what your eyes have seen please.
  3. Don't be so sensitive. Performance trumps lists .
  4. There is not one GM on this planet that would take Hicks over Santana. Your ability to judge talent is on a par with the Twins FO. You show me where Hicks ever had an impressive minor league year. Lets see a year ago Hicks was batting? He was a disaster a year ago so it seems to me your stements make no sense.
  5. Santana is your starting shortstop period. He will have some ugly moments because he is young but he is a ballplayer that is special. Escober is all they need for a utility plater. Those two plus Dozier give the Twins a quality middle infield that is as good or better than anyone in the division. Don't for a minute believe Santana needs more minor league time. He is special! Arcia is their left fielder now. Playing in AAA while we put shortstops in left field is an insult to the fan base. There is no injury level that works at the AAA level but not at the major league level. Calvin Griffith was cheap but he knew talent. CF is a black hole not due to injuries! Hicks has never been special in professional baseball. Fuld at least is a spark plug type of player you can win with. Bring Meyer up now don't waste him. Do want to have Correa make a mistake pitch at 89 or Gibson at 91 or Meyer at 96-98. Look in the dugout at Moliters expression when he looks at who's in the dugout it spesks volumes. If your going to play the big boys in MLB bring in the howitzers stop with the pea shooters.
  6. Why do they let Hicks switch hit? I dont get it, he can't hit major league pitching.
  7. Why is it that Detroit calls up and starts the prospect they got for D Fister and he can fit in that starting rotation. The Twins supposedly got a better prospect in Meyer than Tigers got and we can't fit him into our rotation?
  8. Escobar is back up cf not Santana. Escobar played it for twins and chicago.
  9. Did Mauer play today?(in relation to impact on the game) Before anyone feels they have to rationalize his contract/performance, I now they are stuck with his contract but what is so obvious about the FO is their committment for really improving the starting pitching. They would have been better off trying to get one quality starter based on track records then add in their prospects. Its almost like they knew the natives were getting restless with 3 90+ loss seasons so he they tried to get a three for deal and proudly told us how much they invested in the off-season when in reality their combined salaries woul d be half of a top pitcher. The result is our era for our starting staff.
  10. I don't understand hy the twins let him switch hit. Arguably hitting is one of the most difficult skills in sports to master so why when his tract record is what it is (around .200) do you think he can master both sides. Why not put all his reps on one side so he can develop a sound batting stroke. It defies logic. Hewould be better off hitting from the same side no matter who is pitching. If he ever gets one side down maybe he can then think about going back.
  11. Well this be our 4th 90 loss season? Span and Revere net us nothing really. Everyone thinks Meyer And May are going to be worth it. In Meyers case he us a college pitcher who can't crack the worst starting pitching un the majors. Then is the first cut.. We got nothing for Hardy, Gomez and Wilson on this years team. Also we set a record for strikeouts lasy year and our hitting coach u s back. If you say it was the players then why do we have the same ones back. If it is the coach why is he back. There is a pattern here of evaluation gone haywire. Oh well.
  12. oops. Kubels troubles did not start in 2013. They started at the end of July of 2012. He has been brutal since then. Check his production starting in August of 2012.
  13. There is one big difference between Parmlees success and Pinto in that in 2013 the twins schedule was against teams trying to make the playoffs vs Parmalee schedule was mostly against teams that were out of it and playing their callups.
  14. A publically financed stadium should have monies either spent to MLB recomendations (52%) or use the difference between their payroll and recommended 52% to pay down debt on stadium instead of pocketing it.
  15. Was fortunite to see Twins prospects in the AFL and hate to say it but compared to the competition out there we are overating our prospects. May will look like Liam Hendricks if he gets to big league.
