    I remember Little Falls beating Robbinsdale to win the 2A high school basketball championship in the 70's behind Frankie Wachlarowicz who went on to be a standout Minnesota collegiate player at St. John's. One of the games Litte Falls won in the tourney that year was over a Hibbing team with a fella named McHale.

    Sweeping. In olden times, people would sweep for hours and the floor would still be dirty. Then came the realization that they were trying to sweep dirt floors. Soon came wooden floors, carpets and, eventually, technology progressed to the point that mankind sent automated rovers to the planet Mars -where the dirt is called regolith.     If the other Major League teams are also going to be employing these new training techniques won't the Twins at best only be preserving their current standing relative to the rest of the clubs? (Which was last, 130 runs worse than anybody else) I would cast my vote for finding some more successful pitchers somewhere.

    I make myself feel better by imaging Dozier's production comes at 1B and Mauer's at 2B and that the two are each paid $16 million. It still works out the same, but everyone's a little happier.

    The new CBA also banned smokeless tobacco for all new players coming into the MLB - this following Tony Gwynn's death in 2014 from salivary gland cancer brought on by his years of dipping tobacco.
