    It's crazy to me that the big spenders would worry about value next year, and not spend to win. But, they did that this year (I undersand the re-set thing played a role).....the Dodgers really should have offered more two off season's ago...

    I'm guessing he gets 3/60 or so from someone else. Just a guess. I'd like him back on a 2-3 year deal, but I think they'll go for Gordon next year, and use that money on something (no idea what).

    Thorpe, Thorpe, Thorpe. That is all.....ok, not really. Well written! And I'm with you on Gordon, long term 2.5-3 WAR player for many years....not a superstar most years, just a very good player.

    I'll never forget him. Back in the day, they let us all on the field for camera day. I asked him if he was going to stay in MN or not, and he said he hoped to....seemed like a nice guy, as he was answering lots of questions and really interacting with people.

    Pretty much a self fulfilling prophecy, no? If you don't acquire better players, you won't get better results. The Sox are not far behind the Twins, have money coming off the books, and have spent much more in the past. How aligned would the stars have to be for you to go all in?

    Other than Garver, who is really time in experience? How long would the outfielders have to be on rosters for you not to think of them as green? I don't think three years is all that green anymore

    By weighted WAR projections, the twins are not in the top ten for youngest position players, so I don't know about next decade... They better be in win now mode, ESan, Dozier, Mauer, Castro are not getting younger or signed for long.... Not to mention Morrison and Lynn.

    Lindor says hello. His worst year is 4.4 WAR... His rookie year. Ramirez put up an insane 6.6 last year. Two White Sox put up over 4 last year. Sure, Buxton could be better than all of them, but my money is on lindor. And Dozier.

    Those are two different stories about projections and predictions In both, people like the Twins more than projection systems.
