I mean, investment "experts" thought the market was over valued historically BEFORE 20 million people lost their jobs.....so I am unsure what to think at this point.

I've been buying and selling it for a few weeks. Should have just held it I guess. I sold a bunch yesterday that I bought earlier in the week.

I don't understand what is happening, but I've been day trading and sitting on UNH. I'm approaching being back to my peak...... bizarre. I'll be buying Delta for the long run. Maybe Disney. Maybe Boeing

I did quite well last week.....My one retirement account is up for the year.....and I made some short term money in my cash account. This week? I'm sitting out right now, because we are going to see a huge drop again at some point, but I don't know when....so, maybe I'll bet on that with some options, we'll see. But if we really get to depression level unemployment, there is nowhere for this to go but down. I won't turn this into politics, but I can't see this federal government doing the things we did after the depression or WWII to get workers back to work.....

I locked in an 11% gain on Shopify in one day today. That was nice. I've already locked in zoom earnings twice in the last week. All this in my IRA I manage myself. I'm actually up for the year now....in that one at least.

I also bought yesterday, with the news that the government might infuse cash to the demand side. Ooops.

Thinking of buying calls on disney, as Apple or some other huge company sitting on cash may want to buy them.....plus, they'll survive, and people will flock to theaters once they can go again. They are below their 5 year low (give or take a bit).

I think next week will see a solid decline in prices. That bounce was huge, but I don't think people realize what social distancing is really going to mean........

No biggie. I know the risks..... I'll just hold it in my retirement account. I figure I'm up to six years of lost retirement savings, taking into account compounding going forward. That's gonna hurt, given my age.

Just bought A LOT of Zoom. Figure I can make 5% in the next week or so, then sell.....like day trading, only in my IRA so there are no tax issues....

It will be interesting to see the form of the relief......and if it matters. Because I'm guessing today was all about the relief.....didn't get my 5% gain on my tech stocks, which still would have left me 15-20% down, so still happy I panic sold from that one portfolio.

You're welcome. I just sold ALL MY SHARES in one of my retirement accounts. Ok, not all. I still have zoom, which I bought more of yesterday. Sigh on that......I'm predicting a big bump later today now that I did this.

Was a good day to own too much UHN.....I don't like what I expect the next few months to be, and we just decided to fix our sewer and get AC..... So now when to sell a bit?

This has not been fun! But, I don't need this money (other than 20-30K) anytime soon. I thought about going to cash just before the fall (in my one IRA I manage somewhat actively) but didn't. Oh well...... Stay strong everyone.

I wasn't questioning the innings, but the conclusion that we should trust that they know what they are doing. We just, imo, don't know yet.
