We went thru to with Mauer. Every first basemen makes scoops. There guys have been catching balls since they were five. Cron is nearly replacement level at this point. Garver needs to play every day, or nearly. I don't understand his usage at all.

Ready to move on from Cron. That error was half his. He's a meh hitter compared to other first basemen. And they'll need every penny of his salary to fill all the pitching holes next year.

Fangraphs had him pretty high when they redid their rankings, but he might have been up a bit before that.

It's great that he's even in the conversation. I'd say third or fourth right now. I doubt anyone catches Alvarez.

I'd say it is pretty clear that Rogers needs a day off between appearances. There are three guys in the minors that should, imo, be given a shot this month.....Alcala, Gaterol, and Duran. Hildenberger is the Trevor May of sidearmers, you think he should be better than he is.

I'm not sure how one could not be concerned at this point. But I have no answers, just like the front office.

Well, the Twins don't have that option. But they do have Gaterol, why not try and see if it works?

If they are tied, it's who plays better now. The Cleveland team doesn't need to dominate, they need to win one more game than Minnesota. So those winning percentages aren't really relevant now.

Berrios, Pineda for sure Then, I'm not sure between Odorizzi and Gibson. I'd go three man, and lots of piggybacking..... So game four is a bullpen game. I'd be ready for all of them to be bullpen. I doubt Perez would even be on my roster in October.

The guy that invented KATOH was hired by a team a couple years ago.... So I'm guessing that's the only spot they do them now.

Do Cruz's numbers against bad teams not count too? What do you think the league ERA is if you take out the bad hitting teams from every pitcher?

I suggest people might want to check the pitching leaderboards, sort by ERA or whatever stat you want....Gibson is an above average pitcher this year. Pitching in this era is ridiculously difficult. That said, not good last night. But all these comments about his personality and his overall quality are kind of wrong....
