    So you think players control where a hit ball goes with enough precision that there isn't luck? We'll never agree on that. Life is filled with luck. Filled with it. It's why randomness is so valuable in process analysis and nearly all fields of business and sports.

    They added a great starter, to lessen the need. How many RPs would you have cut from the team before the year, and realistically signed? Which ones (w/o looking at their current stats)? Because signing three RPs that are GREAT seems unrealistically optimistic to me, but I could be wrong.

    Lee isn't a minus fielder, btw. Miranda is, clearly.....as is Julien. I'm talking long term, but even short term....they need a CF that can hit, not just field and run. Short and long term.....

    Twins pen is league median....not great, but not a disaster. Some people seem to expect the FO to build the best team at every position, which seems unrealistic to me. YMMV, of course. Overall they have the best pitching staff in the game, which, sure, you can still complain if you want. That's your right, of course.

    Twins are league median in RP....and number 1 in starting. I get you can fix everything, theoretically, but I think we lose sight of progress sometimes.....Overall, they are the second best pitching team in MLB right now .....so, yes, a better bullpen would be great! But the anger at the FO is over the top for me (YMMV, of course).

    All fair. I can't see how planting and throwing is safer, but I can't find any studies about IF vs OF injuries....though they must exist.

    He was finally fully healthy last year, and was pretty good. 100% a MLB player. He was just coming around, as you say, and now this. It's hard not to feel for the young man.
