  1. Good thing Margot can platoon with Buxton Wait, I'm told that they are both RH? And the pitcher is?
  2. Winder up? That's not a name I thought I'd see in MN again.
  3. Bummer for Okert! I hope he and his family are ok.
  4. I'm ignoring nothing. I'm pointing out that every year this is the excuse. They've won one playoff series standing pat at the deadline. They've done so every year but once, so I'm suggesting it isn't likely that they can never get better, under three GMs and decades of time at the deadline. It can't be that every other GM is wrong every year, and MN is right. Or other GMs would change their ways.
  5. He's intriguing for sure. The kind of guy really bad teams should be signing
  6. If they need a start, they can rest him if needed. They are in a playoff chase, and imo, should be all in with the players they have available. Play to win, stop playing not to lose. I get others disagree. I'm ok with that. It's a philosophy, not a fact.
  7. That's the argument every year, and yet other teams try to get better. It might work, it might not. I doubt standing pat is going to work. It hasn't for them so far.
  8. He's providing no value to the Twins right now. But their bullpen is short. He should be up. If they need one start, someone else can make it. If there is a long term injury, he can be stretched out.
  9. Cleveland definitely seems to trust their farm more. That's likely payroll related, but it might just be a different philosophy.
  10. By putting all those parking ramps there, and building a world class stadium? Look, some people that never go into cities are just convinced cities are horrible, when violent death percentages are much higher in rural areas...
  11. It's irrelevant at this point, I guess. The deadline is passed. Have a great day!
  12. Twins are 9th in runs scored, and 19th in era......
  13. So, he's better than almost every LF last year, and you don't think he's a regular on any team? We have no idea if he can hit LH. They don't let him try.
  14. He put up over two war in half a year last year. What do you base this on?
  15. You just listed superstar players as examples. I don't think anyone thanks that's typical. Wallner is a good player. That's enough for me.
  16. Certainly that's the play not to lose strategy. I'm not interested in that strategy, but I can see where others are.
  17. We won't know until they try.
  18. It's a seller's market, but other teams made trades. This idea that no trades were possible seems weird to me.
  19. It's three GMs, and one ownership group. Over decades. This isn't a one time thing. The Twins went big at the deadline one time under this ownership. Why would we think it's the FO?
