I'm ignoring nothing. I'm pointing out that every year this is the excuse. They've won one playoff series standing pat at the deadline. They've done so every year but once, so I'm suggesting it isn't likely that they can never get better, under three GMs and decades of time at the deadline. It can't be that every other GM is wrong every year, and MN is right. Or other GMs would change their ways.
If they need a start, they can rest him if needed. They are in a playoff chase, and imo, should be all in with the players they have available. Play to win, stop playing not to lose. I get others disagree. I'm ok with that. It's a philosophy, not a fact.
That's the argument every year, and yet other teams try to get better. It might work, it might not. I doubt standing pat is going to work. It hasn't for them so far.
He's providing no value to the Twins right now. But their bullpen is short. He should be up. If they need one start, someone else can make it. If there is a long term injury, he can be stretched out.
By putting all those parking ramps there, and building a world class stadium? Look, some people that never go into cities are just convinced cities are horrible, when violent death percentages are much higher in rural areas...
So, he's better than almost every LF last year, and you don't think he's a regular on any team? We have no idea if he can hit LH. They don't let him try.
It's three GMs, and one ownership group. Over decades. This isn't a one time thing. The Twins went big at the deadline one time under this ownership. Why would we think it's the FO?
