  1. yes, but this thread isn't about those! Other than saying you want to keep the, but I just don't see a path for Julien or Miranda given what is in the minors and majors (maybe first? but I put Keaschell there for at least the rest of this year).
  2. I'd be looking for a team with a failed starter on the 40 man, who wants to see if they can fix Julien or Miranda......a challenge trade for both. Frankly, it is hard to see any of these three getting dealt. But it is just a discussion board....so I'm discussing. I guess.
  3. Ya, this is a real issue......but I'm trying not to say "fire the FO and manager" every post!
  4. I'll ask again, where do you see Miranda or Julien ever getting a shot in MN again? Also, you want to use two 40 man spots on them next year?
  5. The question is what should they do with them now.....not what they did in the past. Where do you see Julien or Miranda ever getting a shot here? So, sure, complain about the past, I don't disagree (esp. on Martin), but that's not really relevant to this discussion of what to do now at all.
  6. I'd much rather they give Keaschell one position (first base or LF is my preference, but that arm.....). Same with Culpepper, one position (third or second?).
  7. They have to be dealt before 40 man rosters are set for next year (or end of this year, can't recall)....as they either need to be on teh 40 man or not. (I vote not, other than Martin). If they can sweeten another deal or get anything back, I do it. Julien I think has value, but he has no path to playing time in MN at this point.
  8. He's about 100x better than what Philly has had for three years now, and they are competing for WS. He absolutely has value to them. How much value is the question....You want to DFA a 1.5-2 win player (which he was last year)? Unreal.
  9. I doubt Martin or Miranda have any value, but Martin should be replacing Castro. He'll either build value or not .... I think Julien has value and could be an add on to get more in a trade.
  10. I think Philly would absolutely love to have him. I wonder what you can get for him and one of the second tier RPs? I'd deal him and promote Gonzalez. Let him get his feet wet this year.
  11. Anthony is a hard one to understand. He wasn't drafted for to a college gambling scandal. Had issues with the fastball, but is hitting well this year. I'd flip Crawford for something else if I could, but it might be a fair deal, that fans will hate.
  12. I said what we thought. You can think what you want. It's a free country. We just don't agree. I'm ok with that.
  13. I mean, it is possible. He's obliterating his forecasts....but I'd be surprised. Who is their CF when Pages leaves?
  14. You aren't getting Pages for a RP. He's put up more than 3 war this year and has more control left than either RP. He's a star. If that was offered, the Twins should say yes, and the Dodgers should fire their GM.
  15. To be clear, I don't expect two top 100 prospects for either of them......but I'd take them. It's an interesting dance.....since Duran and Jax are known quantities, with years of control.....and the prospects are just that....but I can't see them getting two guys. It would be great if they did....
  16. I'm ok with him saying that in public. It's never a great idea to rip your employees in public....I hope he's not saying that in private.
  17. I'm not talking about what the Twins said, I'm talking about this article.......which the OP has made clear is for both of them.
  18. I'm not disagreeing or not.....but I'm not dealing both of them during the year. After the year, when there are more teams buying? Maybe, but still probably not. Thanks for clearing up this was for both!
  19. We'll wait for the OP to come back, but this part seems like I'm right? I could be wrong! In 2018, the Padres flipped Brad Hand and Adam Cimber to Cleveland for Francisco Mejía, a top-20 global prospect at the time. That deal saw two relievers with similar team control flipped for one high-end return. Now, the Twins may be looking to repeat history, albeit with even greater upside. So what might a two-for-two top-100 swap look like?
  20. I share that feeling....
  21. I doubt the Twins deal either RP. Heck, given this FO, I agree, they will try to win still, and get nothing for the expiring deals but regret. Are both teams playing the other? I don't know! But that would be funny.
