    The NFL has a slot system also. There is zero reason not to allow trades of picks. But I'd completely blow up the draft, to give the worst teams more early guys.

    Not to mention using options and clogging the 40 man. If you call up a real prospect that isn't on the forty man, what do you do when Lewis is healthy? And Wallner? And Castro?

    I'd certainly like to see him get a chance over a guy we know isn't good. They do this every year. But I'm not blaming them for Jack of depth. They are very deep, just lots of injuries to the same position or close. Also, Lee has been great.

    ? France is not even close to a league average hitting first baseman. They totally need one.

    Definitely small sample size! I doubt he'll ever accumulate five war in a season. My main point was that way too many here said he couldn't hit.

    After 11 games at third, he's 19th among 3b in fwar. Give him just five more starts at this pace, he'd be in the top ten and on pace for nearly five fwar on the year. Giving up on top prospects after a handful of games is a bad idea. When Lewis comes back, I'd put Lewis at second or first.

    King sounds like a bigger Pace.

    A nearly perfect off season, assuming this LG is even average. Also really like the WR a lot. And a backup QB that is fine, but not good enough to threaten McCarthy. If healthy, this is a ten win team, set up for success if McCarthy is good.

    Sure, but they did this all last year with one guy keeping bad pitchers up because they didn't want to lose him.... I'm not saying willy nilly do stuff, I'm saying if they need a guy, he should be up.

    This is silly, imo. He's more valuable a few days in Minnesota than full time in St Paul. I find this whole dance by then just off.

    Right? No team is five deep at a position. And you left off Miranda. Also, despite the slow start, Lee is hitting about league average and playing good defense, so they had a legit backup. Oh, Rodriguez is hurt and can't replace Wallner..... As is Martin.
