  1. Fangraphs gives both long and Sabato 40s. Why not just try Sabato?
  2. I'd like them to promote guys and use their own guys more often, faster. If they don't think they have guys, maybe they should resign.
  3. I actually don't have more faith they won't just use another bad veteran, but that's what I want changed. I want them to try young players in their system (if they don't think those players exist, they should resign).
  4. If people really believe most minor league players success is random, you need more of them that MIGHT succeed for any to do so (I don't believe it is random, at the top and bottom of the pool. But the middle? kind of, yes).
  5. Sure, but they aren't dealing for big time players. Removing mediocre, or bad, players, at least makes room for other experiments. I think this is our disconnect. I'm talking about what they can do right now, not theoretically. They can move on from mediocre players, which they've failed to do in the past, which is the change they can actually make right now. At least they'll gather data on younger players, and they'll get experience, and maybe get lucky. They aren't doing anything useful keeping France or Kiersey.
  6. Fair. And to be clear, I'm not. I'm more into stopping the process this team uses, which does not work. I'd like more dice rolls that might yield a useful piece.
  7. Sometimes things don't work. That doesn't make them wrong. Also, I'm not sure any expiring deal is team breaking. But I have zero interest in things that never work. Like standing still with veterans on expiring deals. Or just bad veterans.
  8. This fear of trying youth over bad veterans drives me crazy. At least one way there is hope, even if faint. What good, consistent, hitter have they developed? They have a 1:1 and 1:5.....
  9. Nah. Just because they'll likely miss the playoffs four out of five years. Why change?
  10. This is why drink drivers kill people. They are never held responsible until they do.
  11. fair. People here say they want the twins to be like other teams , but never want them to deal most veterans. Not all people, but a lot of people
  12. Not by the rest of the world. Any reason you're bringing this up? No idea how this adds any value to the site. It's seems pretty political to me.
  13. I mean, I'd rather they roll the dice on Julien again. Or Sabato who I didn't believe in with any certainly, than France. They don't seem to have a plan for next year either. I think that's my issue with this front office, the plan never seems clear, or at least not to work with hitters. Thanks for the articles and discussion.
  14. That last bit is very confusing. It's a massive hole, and they move no one there.
  15. Kepler is a, not the only, poster child for why this FO should go. They got nothing for him. Nothing. And people want to repeat this mistake with the expiring contracts this year. Kepler should have been dealt with 1.5 years left on his deal.
  16. People really can't seem to remember this. I have a lot of things I'd like this team to do differently, but model KC and similar teams is not one.
  17. It's barely noticeable. But so many will complain even though they won't see it.
  18. They should get more than that for either based on previous years deals. Throw in more?
  19. The NFL sure can't plead poverty.
  20. I'm not even optimistic. But France just isn't good. A playoff wannabe DFA'd him for a reason last year.
  21. That looks like correlation to me.
  22. They've never had either practice at first. I wish they had, but they didn't. I'm pretty sure they won't move them there now. I too hope Keaschell comes soon, and given his arm, I'd put him at first. But I don't know if he's ever played there.
