    right, logically starters make more than relievers, and he has previous big league success as a starter. Just don't have proof of assumption that Milone had a say in the outcome.

    im with you on Milone. Something tells me TR/PM gave him a choice of starting in Triple A or long man in the bigs and he chose triple A.

    i really expected John Bonnes to not be in favor of the extension. He generally has, but I suppose it's more of a case by case basis, but looking back, Phil Hughes extension and Brian Dozier's have a lot of similarity.

    to be fair, Grossman is "only" 26. he has zero power, and not particularly fast, but it seems he might be able to get on base. The team needs on base guys. It's true, Arcia is also young, and probably destined to be the big half of the platoon split, so it wouldn't be all bad to see Arcia and Grossman platoon or Arcia rotate between OF,DH, and bench.

    oh yeah, my toddler just got over hand foot and mouth disease. It was a full week of hell. Thank god I didn't get it from her, but every kid in her daycare class got it. Jesus we went 5 days no sleep, just wailing.... Ellipse.... Believe it or not, it's worth it. Being a dad is awesome

    you are right, changing the manager will not fix the main problem, however I have seen a severe lack of competence in Molitor and do not believe he should be a part of the team's future. However there's no point in changing manager with the rest of the FO in tact

    Where you don't expect Miller and LEN to be particularly biting, Reusse and Souhan whiffed a bit. As referenced above to dmac's OP, it's not that the FO relied on youth, it's that the youth they relied on had a ton of A ball and no triple a ball. None of the writers really put the onus squarely on the ownership and had a straight line of sight to the BH Park portion if only they had finished it with, unless Plouffe was traded(who's been as bad or worse than dozier) and an on-base type outfielder was signed/traded for in his place.

    speaking of pot/kettle/black Graham was put at risk for rule 5 pick by the Braves... Agreed entirely that one transaction does not a GM make. My frustration is the waffling and knee jerk reactions.

    im with you on the statistical analysis part. What I want most in a leader is someone to lead, who values statistical analysis, understands it, and hires a good team to run it and influence/drive philosophies centered around the team core talent management strategy. Bench coach and someone in the AGM level of role should be the stat head team leaders. GM and Manager need to be the ultimate of people/player managers.

    Why do "top prospects" spend so much of their minor league careers in A ball and so little in AA and AAA and then get forced to the majors unpolished?

    is TR going to send Molitor, Allen and Brunanski to AAA with Sano? There's serious credibility issues with pretty much everyone

    Thanks for sharing. Great article from a source that I certainly wouldn't find on my own. I imagine Dick and Bert have really hard jobs right now, not openly bashing an embarrassingly bad team.
